Bill has come through surgery beautifully, but he is still heavily sedated and out of it. Hopefully there'll be good news upon his awakening from anesthesia.

Dear Journal~
Good news! Bill has come through his surgery beautifully, accoeding to his doctors; however, he is still heavily sedated from the anesthesia, so he won't have a lot of pain. They have him loaded with pain meds and antibiotics. Bill is sleeping like a big baby; a bit pale, perhaps, but that is the norm after surgery for anyone. He has oxygen on and I.V.s in his arms, as well as a heart monitor, but he looks a lot better than I expected him to.
This is Louie here. I said that I wouldn't write until after Bill was out of surgery. Well, I kept my promise. Bill is out of surgery, so I am writing, to let you know he came through it. (Thanks for all your prayers; they are much apprecaited! :) )
Bill was in surgery a little over three hours. He was in recovery for a couple of hours, then transfered to his room about mid-afternoon.
Guess what?? My daughter in Louisiana (Dwerlina) is thinking of getting us some passes for a NASCAR race next year!. That is awesome because Bill absolutely loves NASCAR, but has never been to an event. He loves driver #17, Matt Kenseth; that is his man. :) He always watches the races when they are on tv, and he has expressed a desire to go to at least one race before he dies or gets too old. :) Looks like he may get to do it next year. That'd be too cool! :)
Dwerlina has always loved auto racing, ever since she joined our family. She loves it all: stock car racing, Indy cars, you name it: as long as there's racing involved, she loves it. :) She loved the late Dale Earnhardt, Sr.; she also loves the legendary racer Kyle Petty, as well as Matt Kenseth, Kurt Busch, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Kasey Kahne, Greg Biffle, Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, and Kevin Harvick, to name a "few".
She has been to several races when they were in Louisiana; she will go to more in the future. Now it looks like we will get to do the same when they have the race in Memphis; that's where the BIG RACE is held in Tenneesseee. (They have a race here every year, like in March. Traffic is always a nightmare during race week.)
I have been at the hospital all day today with Bill; I only went home briefly to check on the kids and pets, fed and watered them all, and had a chance to shower and get a change of clothes. Now I am back at the hospital, and I am not leaving until I know my husband is going to be okay.
Well, I am going to go now; visiting hours are due to end, and I am going tro try to get some sleep in the waiting room. I'll lie on one of the couches while the nurse will get me a pillow and a blanket. Take care, dear Journal, and God bless! I will write in here again!

Great write once again! so happy to read Bill made it out of surgery and is doing ok. The next few days are going to be "OUCH" for sure!
I'm glad Bill made it through his surgery; I pray it helps him. As Louisiana was helped by hers.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm...today's NASCAR qualifying race inspired Bill's love for auto racing, I see. :) I love how you incorporate today's events into your character's lives. And Bill and I have something in common: Matt Kenseth being our favorite driver!! LOL
