     It's always something.....
Sitting here in my recliner
sipping on a hurricane, dreaming of sun and sand.
waiting on my flight to some port of call for an ocean voyage...did seem like an awfully long time though...
people board....planes leave.
And I'm still sipping and waiting.

Then a lovely lady with some wings
on her uniform, sweetly said to me,

"Sir to where are you bound?"
"I'm off to Miami for a cruise...I beamed"

With another sweet smile, she said "Can I see your boarding pass?"
"Of course," I said, smiling back at this lovely lass.

"Sir, I'm afraid you have the right gate, but the wrong concourse, your flight left thirty minutes ago."

With just a bit of panic I said,
"Can I get a flight to Miami in time to board the ship?"

She got on her radio, the answer came back, she said "No way, Jose...
However, we can transfer your ticket, for a few extra FFP's and a couple bucks for a week in Denver, it's lovely this time of year."

Uh huh...20 below zero.

"No thanks," I said, "I'll just cash in and wait for the next cruise."
Darn it...I always knew when my ship came in...I'd still be at the airport...

Just goes to show.......

It's always something

Lol. Humourous, Walt! But it had made me think about life - in general - how we always miss out on the little treasures and blessings life has to offer, simply because we are too occupied. Few lucky one, who realize their mistake before it's too late, cash in and take the next boat. Just gotta love this!

God bless,

Sandie.

Been day dreaming again in that recliner?

Oh know the feeling of missing the boat...that leads to a rocky sea!!

Bad skipper being a sailor on a solo dreamflight!!

Glad I did not miss this thought provoking piece!!

Love Tinka
