Sandra..what better days than during childhood? when you know not of hate,envy,jelous or discrimination! Uncle Aziz is like one of the sources of children's happiness, because children can find a smile out of anything!..from a drop of rain in the sky to the small pond along the street pathway! And thats how life should be...because it's too short to be misused..all we need is to live fully, love too much, dance alot and laugh like there's no tomorrow! By am hungry..let me go grab my lunch! nostalgia is all i felt...good old days...well expressed.
A fabulous story, Sandra. You truly captured the essence of childhood, with its wonderment and fascination for the ways of "grown ups." I liked your descriptive paragraphs-- could see the cushion of matted flowers beneath the chipped sill, and could almost taste the wonderful foods being placed on the table.
