Rose continued to work, determined to make a life for her and Sal, Jr., and as time passed made many friends in the restaurant especially the owner of the restaurant, Tony Pagano.  As the friendship grew, Rose, Tony and Sal, Jr., went shopping and occasionally went to New York to explore the sights.  Tony was the tour guide and showed Rose many sights within the city.  Laughter and happiness, once unknown to Rose, became a wonderful experience but because her friend was a male she knew the family could never find out about him, not even Gina.
