     Third date
Again, she had to work late. I suggested I just get some dinner and bring it to the "House on the Hill," and we could dine in and laze around. She thought this was an excellent idea. I asked if she liked ribs and she replied, "Now what true Southerner doesn't like ribs?"

OK, yeah boy, hot dog. I figured this could possibly gonna be a night of l'amore. I mean, after the guitar playin, the gentlemanly like bahavior, and just general wit and charm, what woman could hold out for long?

Now whenever I go to a new town, the first two questions I ask of the local folk are, who has the best ribs around, and where are the best hot dogs?
Hot dogs? You may ask, but these are a very important part of my diet. However I'm picky. Atlanta has the best hot dogs in the world at a place called The Varsity. I judge all other hot dogs by them.
You see the story goes, Frank Gordy was a student at Ga. Tech, and one day one of his professors told him that he wouldn't make it as an engineer, and probably should open a hot dog stand.
Well, that's exactly what he did. He dropped out out school and went right right across the street from Ga. Tech. Not only did he open just a hot dog stand, but also a drive-in which is now an Atlanta landmark.
No trip to Atlanta is complete without at least one trip to the Varsity, and on game day, more hot dogs are sold from the Varsity and taken to the game than are sold at the stadium.

Check out their website, the varsity.com, and see for yourself.
Frank Gordy got revenge on his prof, and probably made more money than any engineer who ever graduated from Ga. Tech.

Sorry, got a bit sidetracked here...Anyhow I found the best ribs around, a place called Georgia Bobs, and got us some, to go, with the obligatory slaw and stew, of course, which is excellent, and headed for the "House on the Hill."

It turns out that her house is one of those places all the kids hung around during summer months. Not only because she is so sweet and a good hostess, and they have a pool, but she also has three lovely daughters, the youngest of which just graduated this year from high school. She described it to me as sometimes "Grand Central Station."

Hmmm, I thought, maybe we will be lucky tonight, traffic won't be all that bad, and we will have some "quality" time for ourselves.

We had dinner, which was great, and then settled in on the couch for a bit of huggin and snugglin. More sweet tunes hung in the air.

Trying not to seem impatient, and since she had mentioned hurting feet, I suggested a foot massage.
As if by magic lotion appeared from somewhere and I began rubbing those dainty pedals.
I have a bit of knowledge of reflexology and everywhere I massaged brought moans of sweet pain and pleasure. The massaging lasted until my fingers were tired, and could rub no more. I then deftly switched ends of the couch and did some adjusting.

On that big overstuffed leather sofa I kind of felt like I was back in high school. You know, a kiss or two here a hand here or there, a rub. That sweet look in her eyes.

Ah,those eyes. Let me try to put into words how beautiful they are. They are mostly hazel, but with brown in them that radiates from the center like the star shape on an opal, as unusual as they are beautiful.

Now things were were getting a bit heated. Clothing seemed to be falling off from everywhere, and I suggested we move to a more comfortable area of the house. Agreement followed and as we were getting up to go upstairs, the phone rang.
Ah yes, it was her youngest saying she was bringing some friends over.

Well, hells bells.

"Of course I don't mind, no not at all, I'll just go ahead and head on out so you won't have to explain me just yet."

We kissed a long time and I drove home.
Feeling somewhat like a Smurf I must admit.

Ah, but there is always tomorrow.

Walt
