Dear Journal~
It's me, Ronee'.
I was having a hard time of it, but I can honestly say that I'm doing much better. Just the other day, after a week of fear and/or uncertainty, my friend, Susie Diane Jackson-Callaway, is on the road to recovery. She was in a coma, but she's now awake, thank the Lord, and she is eating, talking--and best of all, she is taking her first steps at walking! It's been nothing short of a bona-fide miracle!
I don't know exactly what happened, but on July 3rd, Susie started going into terrible seizures; she was put into a medically-induced coma, as a way to control them. Well, she ended up having brain surgery. She is feeling much better, but she has a headache (natch); hopefully, in time, as she recovers, the headaches will then go away.
Yesterday at church, we celebrated Susie's miracle; there were many shouts of praise and thanksgiving as God demonstrated His Power in a needy young person's life by granting her a miracle healing. Now, Susie will probably be in the hospital for at least another week or so; yet compared to where she was on July 3rd, she's come a long way! :)
Oh, oh, oh!! More good news: Susie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour! She's now a Christian! We have been praying that she would come to the Lord; well, she finally did, and now there'll be a new Angel in Heaven when Christ returns! We'll be Sisters of the Blood forever, not just here on Earth, but in Heaven, too! Isn't that great?? :)
The other day, I had one of the worst days in a very long time. Besides Susie ending up in the hospital, I got grounded from using my computer because I'd left the milk out all night long (it soured; it was beyond disGUSTing!); I also got into trouble for arguing with Michelle, my little sister. In addition, I was supposed to be watching Tri, and he had to go to the Emergency Room to get his chin stitched up because he busted it on the edge of the trampoline. Blood spurted everywhere, as did my lunch. I can't stand the sight of blood.) That was when daddy took away my laptop computer for several days. I had to write in my journal longhanded, which about killed my joints. It was not fun!
If I were to rate that day in terms of a letter-grade, I would have given it an F-. It was one of the worst days I ever had!
The news with Rebekkah's mom and Susie didn't make the day any better, that is for darn sure! If something were to have happened to Susie when she was in her coma, I don't know if I would have ever forgiven myself! I'd probably have ended up doing something totally whacked, and I'm way better than to do something stupid like purposely harm myself! Yet I'm sure if I were feeling desperate enough, the feelings would most certainly surface!
Well, I'm going to close, go lie down. I have a headache (maybe I'm having sympathy pains for Susie?? I don't know, but my head hurts!). I will write in here another day; I'm just glad Susie is doing much better than she was! As for Naomi Cohen, she has Frederich's ataxxia (spelling?); unfortunately, for her, she won't get any better unless there's a miracle cure that happens sometime in the next few years or so! (Frederich's ataxxia is a neuromuscular disease that's in the muscular dystrophy family somehow. I'm not really familiar with it, but it's not good; none of those neuromuscular diseases are.)
Until later, this is Ronee' signing off. Goodbye for now!
~Love, your pal, Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux. :)
P.S.: I go to Las Vegas, Nevada, next week, for the chance to make it to the finals. I hope I make it (but somehow I doubt I will; some of the acts I've seen that I will be competing against look mighty challenging! I will have to pull out all the stops to make sure I do the best job I possibly can!). I'll let you know how I do, but let's just say that I am getting plenty nervous just thinking about the competition!!
~Ronee'. :)
