Two weeks ago I was driving along a country road. I saw several patches of these flowers on the right of way.
I thought they were wild, but found out that they were planted by a nature loving grandfather. I couldn't help but stop and take pictures to share with Ya'll. The one above was the best.
I went to a house near the flower patches and told his grandson how much I enjoyed the lovely sight. He said, "my grandfather will appreciate this."
I gave the Grandson a card and told him I was going to put the pictures on the internet. He and his wife wrote me, telling me they enjoyed my short story, "Sorry Assed Mule," but didn't see the pictures. So this is for you Mr Woodward. Thank you for making my day.

Yes the sorry a one I read besides my last comment on your mize report the legend met... it's lateI like the photo i thought it was going to be a story about a dog!!!Ilike animals what can i say? gina
Cool idea to stop and shoot the pics and then give those people your feedback. I see your a spontaneous giver! That's can only result in tons of good coming your way. More great pictures and messages!

Truly proves that those old country roads are still the best, Walt. I love wildflowers, and amazingly, I'm writing a poem about some of them right now, but to hear that a nature loving grandfather planted these gorgeous flowers is even better!
