Aurora Skydancer is on the mend, feeling much happier, healthier (and lighter). She is on the verge of getting released from the nursing home.

August 23, 2007~

Aurora Skydancer here. Sorry if I haven't written in here, but I have been continuing my diet and also my therapies. Feeling much better; have lost over 100 pounds and am now able to exercise without gasping like a dying fish. It is incredible what a little weight loss (and renewed energy) can do to a body!

I haven't felt this good in--well, I don't know how long. I still wear the oxygen, but only at night now. My lungs aren't as good as they used to be, but I am willing to try to help them out in any way possible. I don't smoke, I no longer drink, and now I have lost all that excess tonnage. Maybe now I can have a decent future!

I haven't heard--or seen--anything from Louisiana Sandusky in a while. Sure hope she is okay. I hope she doesn't become ill herself; she took such wonderful care of me when I was in the hospital!

I am getting ready to be released from the nursing home. That means I will soon be heading back to New Mexico. I am glad; it's too hot here, and I am ready for a change of scenery, see my family, see my friends again! I should be out of here within a few weeks; am looking forward to my prison release! :)

Still will continue the exercise/diet regimen upon my return home to New Mexico; I know my family/friends will be impressed when they see "the new me"! I just hope my friends/family will recognize me! LOL

Well, it's about time for lunch; today it's pickled herring (yum), scalloped potatoes (with low cal cheese), salad (lots of it!!), and a jello mold for dessert (or did they mean "moldy jello"?? *grins*). I will go now. Then tonight it's skinless chicken, backed potatoes (sans butter), lettuce- , tomato- , and cucumber salad, a fruit cup, and skim milk. Very healthy foods I am eating now (though the pickled herring is pushing it, but hey, a gal has to break the rules once in a while! LOL). I will write in here again; take care!

~Lvoe, Aurora Dawn Skydancer. :)

It's great to read Aurora has been doing so much better. Losing the weight seems to have given her more confidence in who she is! Kudos to her for getting her life in check! The food sounds right delicious I tell ya! Must be near dinner time here. Great journalling!

Dorothy
