Louisana Sandusky can't sleep, so she decides to write in her online journal. She is dealing with her continuing bed rest, and of things in her family. She's also dealing with the ramifications of owning a brand new kitten named "Ricochet".

Dear Journal~
It's just me. Li'l ol' me, Louie. Can't sleep, so I decided to write in my journal. Back hurting again; think I must have slept wrong. First back pain I've had since my surgery; maybe it's because I'm pregnant, maybe it's because the babies are jockeying for position, playing kickball with my bladder...I don't know, but the pain was bad enough to wake me up from a sound sleep.
Bill is lying beside me, flat on his back, snoring his happy rump off. He sounds like a human buzzsaw--stuck on stereo. I didn't realize just how LOUDLY Bill snores! Maybe I ought to have him checked out by the doc, to make sure he doesn't have sleep apnea or something worse...It is cute, though, listening to him. I will have to have him roll over onto hsi side; maybe that will stop him from snoring.
My dog, "Cajun Gold", is lying at my side, snoring right along with Bill. She sounds like she's got a small squeaker toy inside her. It's adorable! She is one contented little poochie pie!
Well, yesterday was the anniversary of the terror attacks; we spent it remembering the fallen, remembering the historical significance of that day, remembering how life was before the attacks. We went to our city's observance; it was very sad. Ronee' and Johnny both participated in the program; Johnny signed/sang, and Ronee' sang; they both did "God Bless America" and Ronee' sang "God Bless America Again" while Johnny signed. They both did a super job; we were very proud of the both of them.
We saw Roberto, M'Buti, and their growing family there; it's incredible to think that Jubaki is now going on ten. He's very tall; he looks like a teenager! The twins are now in kindergarten (that's Eshe' and Kibarake), and the triplets are now three; and the quads are now walking/talking up a storm. *Sighhh* To think my own kids were that little once...
Kids. They grow up way too fast. Our current youngest son, Emir Muhammed, is going to be two in January, and he is adjusting to life here in America. He still has the nightmares, but all I have done is hold him, try to quell his fears. (Now Bill does that; I'm stuck in this bed--or if I AM up, I use the wheelchair. Can't walk that well now, since I am so big!)
I SWEAR I'm carrying a MOOSE instead of a human baby....LOL
That's what it FEELS like, anyway...
Barbara is all excited; this is her last year in high school; she is playing her first game next week. She's been on the football team for the past four years, and she loves it! Of course, we worry about her, seeing she is a girl, that football is such a rough sport, but Barbie has always been a bit of a tomboy. She is happiest on the playing field; doesn't matter if it's baseball, softball, or football..as long as it's sports, she's happy!
Anh has left to go back to Oklahoma; he starts back up to college next week. It was nice having him home for the summer. Such a personable, polite young man; he has really grown! He has a girlfirend, and he says that come Chrsitmas we will get to meet her. Life is indeed good for Anh!
Rani was upset last week when school started. She still doesn't like leaving us in the mornings. I guess the tsunami she went through has something to do with it. She still has separation anxiety issues. I am going to have to see if we can get some help for her, to ease her fears.
Next week, Ronee' gets her cast taken off. She is more than ready to get off the crutches and back to her canes. She was all worried about starting high school, what the other kids would think of her, but she has since adjusted beautifully. The only thing is that some of the kids are supertall, and she feels like a shrimp next to them. I tell her not to worry, that she's beautiful, and that seems to settle her fears or embarrassments.
Johnny sees his MD doctor next week. He wants to check his heart/breathing. Johnny really hsan't had any (new) trouble; the doc just wants to make sure things are okay. They seem to be; Johnny hasn't really had any complaints.
He was worried about starting high school too, but like his sister Ronee' he's adjusted beautifully. The only thing he doesn't like is when the bell rings after each class; he says he feels so claustrophobic when the kids are in the hall. He's worried he's going to get squashed, and he doesn't like it when kids give him dirty looks because of his being in a wheelchair. That makes him uncomfortable.
I tell you, some pople have no manners around people who are disabled; they need to spend time in a wheelchair or blindfolded for a day; have them walk in THEIR shoes, just to see what it's like. That would change their tunes in a hurry...
Well, I am going to go now..not much going on other than family. I don't get out much unless it's to my doctor's appointment or to church...and then I go in my wheelchair. Still can't walk until the babies are born. Still on strict bedrest. GRRR!! How I HATE it!! It's drivin' me NUTS!

P.S.: Oh, the picture...the picture of the little kitten. Well, we have a new pet. We found a stray kitten about a month ago, and after taking it to the vet, we took her in as our own. Of course, the kids love her, but we have to keep reminding the littler kids to be gentle with her, seeing she is still so tiny.
Name's "Richochet" because that's all she does: runs around the house, stirring up some excitement. The dogs are scared of her because she beats them up, and "Cajun", our Maine Coon cat, does not like her AT all. She hisses at the kitten at any opportunity. It's rather funny! Isn't she cute?
LOL: oh, Karen! 'Ricochet' is a purrfect name for that kitten! 'Course, doesn't help, having sixty kids chasing her and dogs and other cats...wheeeeeeeeeeee! I'd be under the BED, if I were Ricochet, hissing "Leave me alooooooooooone" LOL

Being a dog man I can't comment about the benefits of have a tiger seed running wild around the house.
But "Ricochet" sounds like a funny name for a funny mitten and that on the picture seems like a little rascal.
