A cat of the Maine Coon persuasion writes to share her story. She is the sister to "Cajun".
I will be doing a series of stories about this "Cat Family"; have already written about "Cajun"; now it's her Brothers and Sisters' turn to shine. :) Enjoy!
Meow! Oops! Sorry about that...I'm a Cat, have to keep rememberin' that you don't speak my language.
My name's Meowser, but everyone calls me Meowsie; they say it's cuter. I'm a six-year-old Tortoishell Maine Coon; I live with the Humans in Jackson, Tennessee.
I had brothers (Furball and Stripes) and sisters (Genevieve, Tisket, and Cajun), but I don't know their Fates. Oh, okay, I do. I do know about one of them, Cajun. Cajun's livin' the life of Riley in nearby Nashville; she sometimes sends me Pictures via the Computer. She's really grown into a beautiful Lady Cat; looks so regal sittin' there on the table, showin' her stuff!
I miss my brothers and sisters; I often wish I could see (play) with them again. I live here with two Big Humans that are called Mom and Dad by the Human Kids and five littler Humans of various sizes and ages. The younger Humans are noisy; they make me nervous; but the older ones--especially the biggest girl named Kim--treats me special; she holds me in her arms and dances with me around the room, singing to me. I like that; it turns my Purr Machine on!
I like to do many things: chase the Humans, play with my toys, eat, sleep, purr, and meow. I love being a cat; I can do (nearly) everything I want without worrying about things (especially if I'm indoors). The Outside World is just too risky for us Cats; I don't feel safe out there!
