Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux is home from the hospital, yet she is still in a good amount of pain. Still, she is grateful just to be back with her family.

Tues., October 9, 2007, 3:30 a.m. (couldn't sleep, darned ol' joints woke me up! GRRR!)~

Dear Journal~

It's me, your friend, Ronee'. Can't sleep; darned ol' arthritis barkin' up a storm again. I guess I will write in here. So here goes...

It's nice to be back home, in my own bed, in my own room, not having to worry about vampires or nurses comin' in at all hours of the day (and night), taking blood, taking my vital signs, waking me up for a pill. Ahhh, bliss!

Yet alas--all is not good in Camp Reaux: hurtin' like a booger-bear, having to use my stupid sticks again instead of the canes, taking new meds, worryin' about my upcoming surgery in January, worryin' about Johnny, worryin' about---things.

I also heard that my friend in Alaska, Jenna Aurora Doucet, fell yesterday and is now in labor. I am waiting for the phone to ring, to see if it's her husband, to let us know if the baby's come. (It's another boy.) She wasn't due to have her boy until next month; now it looks like he'll be born early, just like her firstborn son, Mattaq, was. Hopefully he'll be okay; his brother, although born early, turned out alright.

I will have to continue praying for Jenna, hoping that there'll be no problems.

I am sitting here in bed, looking at my stupid cat, "Cajun". She's lying on her side, stretched out a mile long, just snoring her little kittycat bumpus off. It's adorable! She's also dreaming; must be dreaming about chasing a mouse. She's twitching all over: her paws, her back, her tail, her ears, her face--it's too cute! LOL

I wish I had no worries like my cat...it must be nice to be a cat: everyone bows to your wishes, and they're more than glad to have ya around! You can sleep up to a million hours a day, and you can do whatever you want in life.

If I believed in reincarnation (which I don't), I wouldn't mind it if I came back as a cat--hopefully one like my kittycat, "Cajun". "Cajun" is the cutest kittycat in the world, no, in the entire universe!!

I am worried about Johnny: doctor told mama that he may end up having to have a tracheostomy before the end of the year because his lungs have weakened considerably, and if he gets a cold or URI (upper respiratory infection), it could kill him. He'd have to breathe with a ventilator. That would be terrible; I don't want Johnny to not be able to speak!

Johnny wasn't expected to live past the age of five; he's now goin' on fifteen, and his muscular dystrophy has really done a number on his body. He's so vulnerable to any kind of infection, and mama is scared to death he'll end up back in the hospital again when he just got out (he got out Saturday), or worse, dead.

Yet Johnny remains upbeat, and frankly, I don't know how he does it. If I were in his shoes, I'd probably be depressed for a million years! I don't think I could ever be happy again!

Arjun and Corbie (Corbin) are over their colds; they have the left over coughs. They sound terrible, but at least they aren't sneezin' or snottin' all over any more. I'm just glad Emir or the rest of us didn't get sick; that would have been a disaster had mama had to take care of over fifty sneezin', wheezin' kids! YIKES. That would probably make her want to give up nursing forever! LOL

I am loving my foster brother, Vincente. He's so cute, and he's such a good little kid. I hope we end up adopting him! (So what's three more brothers? :) )

Mama is as big as a house: her babies are growing inside her, and she is still stuck in bed. The only times she gets up is to go to the bathroom or to her doctor's appointments (and then she has to use her wheelchair). The doctor still doesn't want her walking, lest she should happen to fall, and that would not be a good thing.

After all, look what's happened to Jenna...

Well, I am going to try to get back to sleep. Take care, and God bless!

I'll write in here another day--preferably at a more decent hour! C ya!

~Luv, your gal pal, Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux. :( *OW*

So glad that Ronee is doing better, it is always a pleasure to be home after a stay in the hospital! I think I learn to appreciate home even more after enduring the hospital beds, smells, and those dreaded vampires! Enjoyed this much my friend!
Blessings,
