Phydoux hasn't written for a while so here is his latest.
Those who have followed my writings have been missing me. I haven’t had any writings to share. Some people are even “dogging” me about it. I want you to know it’s not my fault. My owner, bless his sweet little heart, has been too busy for me. He hasn’t let me close to the computer. What can I do?
When we are ignored, it gives us great pain. We are so loyal. When you come home we always – I repeat, always – run to the door and stand there wagging our tail as you enter. You never walk in and find us over in the corner saying, “Come on in, boss, I’m too tired to greet you. Help yourself to the refrigerator.”
We follow you around with an expectant look on our face. All we want is for you to speak to us or pat us on the head or scratch our back. You just go about your selfishness as if we are not there. That’s why we sometimes get under your feet and nearly trip you. It hurts, but at least it draws attention to us.
Sometimes we bark a lot just so we can hear you say our name. I’ve learned a lot when I’ve done that. I didn’t realize that my full name was Phydoux Dammit. I must be adopted because my master’s last name is Linville.
Rememer when you came home and the trash can was upset and everything was scattered everywhere? You’re right! That was just to hear you say my name. I’ll admit that when you rubbed my nose with that smelly paper towel I wasn’t sure I wanted to ever do that again, but at least you touched me.
Well here comes my master. He doesn’t know I’ve been at the computer so I’d better flea. (sorry) If he ever leaves the computer alone I’ll write a little more. He’s pretty frustrated because there was nobody at the door when he got there. Someday I’ll tell you how I’ve learned to make the doorbell ring.
Yeah Phydoux!! I love the way my guy greets me at the door - he always gets hugs and scratches. You can come visit anytime! I'll scratch your belly and speak your name and give you beefy bones to chew. Just keep telling us your stories!
Phydoux rules: you should see the fights between my twin sis and me! It's my turn, no you just HAD your turn, get off, it's MINE....worse than cats and dogs fightin' sometimes! That's alright, we're learning to take turns.
Oh, Phydoux - I've sorely missed you. Thought maybe you were at the doggie spa. So you're given full name is Phydoux Dammit. Are you related to some of my family - they have the same last name.
