Johnny writes in his journal prior to going to bed.

Monday, October 22, 2007, 7:44 p.m., D.S.T.~

Dear Journal~

Johnny here. I am getting ready to go to bed; just had my bath, supper, took my evening meds, had my breathing treatment, so I'm set to go for another night. Oxygen prongs are in place; all I'm waiting for is for the sand fairy to settle his dust on me, so I can fall asleep.

I had a pretty good day today, which is unlike the days I've had lately. No undue difficulty in breathing, no new symptoms to alarm me (as if I'm not already worried enough now as it is regarding my health). Of course, the meds and oxygen help.

I had a good day at school today: my test I had in math wasn't as hard as I feared because I passed. I was surprised; I was so sure I'd fail it! English went well, too; my teacher said I am really improving in my writing/reading comprehension, which made me feel good.

I talked to Rebekkah via the computer; she said that she may come by tomorrow and see me. I hope so; I have missed her like crazy since she and her family left for England! She is really worried about me.

The weather was rainy a good chunk of the day today; colder weather moving in. No snow, but definitely colder temperatures are forecast; highs in the sixties as opposed to the eighties.

Not much rain forecast, we are in desperate need of rain. Oh, we had some rain, even had lightning and thunder, but not nearly enough to put a dent in the drought we are currently experiencing.

What we need is a good frog strangler! Not to where there's severe flooding, but certainly enough to give the ground/soil a good soaking!

It's supposed to clear out later tonight and be partly to mostly sunny tomorrow. Highs are forecast in the lower sixties with lows in the upper thirties to lower forties. BRR!

Time to break out the longjohns and sweaters, not to mention, the jackets and heavier pants!

Well, daddy is coming in my room, to put me down for the night; time for Johnny to go to sleep; school tomorrow. So on that note, goodnight! See you soon!

~Johnny. :)

A nice story. When I read about anyone with breathing problems, I am reminded of my own. A miracle has happened to me though--I think I am healing. I can now get a full lung of air all the way down to the bottom of my lungs and breath it out normally. I've been thanking God continually since that first deep breath of air. Blessings to all.

Enjoy the little warmth that this weather can offer, but, it will be there everytime father come to tuck in your blankets.
Good night Johnny, sleep well and dream better!

As the shadows fall and a father's tender love closes the day with a kiss and a tug of blankets this is perfect.
