My name is Glory Hallelujah. Glory Hallelujah Jenkins. I am 11 years old.

I live with my family in Hendersonville, Tennessee. My dad is a fireman; my mother, a homemaker. She stays at home with the kids.

I have two brothers (both younger) named Peter Mathias (eight) and Abraham Jacob (six) and two sisters, one older (that's Promise Michaela; she's 15) and one younger (that's Patience Elizabeth; she's four). I get along with them most of the time; sometimes we fight.

I don't go to school. Neither do my brothers or sisters. We're homeschooled; Mama says that we can learn better at home. She's our teacher. She makes out the assignments; it is up to us to complete them on time.

Now, my friends don't understand about what it's like to be homeschooled; they think that's stupid. I think it's better because for one thing we can learn about God, the Bible, and nobody gets bent out of shape about it, like they do in a lot of public schools.

So rather to face the wrath of angry parents or school people, Mama opts to teach us at home--and we are all doing very well at school, which makes me proud.

On Sundsys we spend a good part of it at church. We are very big on church. We go to Greater Vision Pentecostal Church, and I just love it there. In the mornings, we kids go to Bible school and have kid's church afterwards; in the afternoon, we have the regular services. We get to go to the evening service, which is always a good time.

On Saturdays we spend the day taking gifts to the homebound, or we visit the sick at nursing homes or hospitals. (At least the older kids do; the younger ones wait in the lobby, where we arm them with coloring books, games, and such, so they don't get bored. Meanwhile, we older kids visit the sick, along with Mama and Papa.)

My best friend is Hayleigh Rochelle Huckabee. She is my age, but she's one grade behind me. (She's in Special Needs class; she has spina bifida and learning disabilities.) Hayleigh's really cool; doesn't let her disabilities get to her; she's one of the happiest people I know.

When I am not busy with school, church, or visiting the sick, or spending time in prayer, I like to draw, write stories or poems, sing, go to the children's wing at the local library every week (Wednesdays are Library Days), and read. I'm a regular bookworm, according to Mama; I can never get enough out of books! :)
