Death does not take a holiday. Your reviews are welcome...I may cry a little but I'll get over it.
Poor old Grim Reaper, he’s got one crappy job. He swings his sickle of death with little regard to one’s position or politics – guilt or innocence. (Reaper don’t need no stink-kink due process) The Cloaked One’s office overlooks all natural disasters, great famines and occasionally he tours the world with pandemic disease. (FACT: The Reaper used to tour with Lollapalooza but it got too crazy.)
Taking souls every day and most holidays -- The Grim One is a true workaholic but he suffers from job burnout. Sure he plays golf with OJ and performs some occasional stand-up (Oops, I was thinking of Michael Richards) – but the day-to-day grind of killing is finally taking its toll. That and being taunted and mocked daily by Keith Richards doesn’t help.
This job burnout has distracted our Reaper and he’s gotten a little sloppy. You see, the Reaper cut short the life of busty, blonde, and new mom Anna Nicole Smith a year or so ago. But taking Anna Nicole was too easy…and any time “easy” is involved…things get complicated. Anna had lost her teenage son to Grim a couple of months earlier right after she had just given birth to a baby girl.
Surely the Reaper could have stolen the last breath of a despicable child-killing pedophile or a murderous dictator (sorry Reap, forgot about your Saddam job.) But that’s okay…the world is laughing because this was only the shallow life of Altered Anna and her Traveling Road Show of Delirium.
The world will continue to joke about the crazy life and sinful excesses of the wealthy white-trash and one time model. But it’s only Anna’s daughter that was truly affected by the Grim One’s hatchet job. Dannielynn’s life is now like a Valentine that’s been returned unopened – the one closest to you will never know of your love. But in a world of disposable icons…the Reaper’s tears dry quickly.
