Dear Journal~
Ronee' Reaux here. Hope this finds you in a much better mood than I am in this morning.
Have come to discover that school for today has been cancelled because of the dadburned near-blizzard that's hit Nashville like a ton of bricks!
I'm mad because I have homework due, a huge report for English that counted for half of my English grade; now it's going to be late. I'm also mad because I had a test in Conversational French that I was looking forward to. Now my homework sits on my desk.
I can't even get out of the house because we have nearly two feet of the white stuff piled up outside! Being physically disabled, it's hard enough for me to get around anyway; the snow only complicates things.
GRRRR!!!
Not to mention, my arthritis is singing--and not for joy! *OW* (My hands actually feel pretty decent; it's my back, my feet, my wrists, my ankles that's giving me what for!) Hard to move around without my body screamin' obscenities at me!!
I guess I will have to find something to entertain myself, entertain my younger brothers and sisters. Won't be hard to do, I'm sure. I'd much rather be in school; when I'm not in school, I'm scared that I'll forget what I've just learned or that my brain'll turn to mush!! YIKES!
Watched AI last night; they had some great singers; then again--they had some A W F U L singers that had NO business whatsoever in trying out!! I don't know HOW some of these people can even THINK they have talent when a seal or a walrus could probably sing better than THEY can! Goshamighty!!
I'm NOT the world's best singer, but I CAN sing, and I KNOW talent when I hear it!! Having been in the music biz for a good part of my life you learn how to sing right, and you KNOW talent when you hear it!! Some of those "singers" they had on last night were more than enough to set my teeth on edge!! *cringe*
It's a wonder Paula (Abdul), Simon (Cowell) (he's still as acerbic as ever!! LOL Gotta' love a guy like him; he's so brutally honest!!), and Randy (Yo, Dawg!) Jackson don't quit the music biz altogether after hearing some of these (bone-headed) contestants!! I would if I were in that position!!
What to write about, what to write about?? (Tryin' to kick my dead brain into gear this early January morning...Gad!!) Anyway, it's too early for me to be outta' bed (don't even have therapy today either! No excuse for me to be up with the pigeons!!); I should pull the covers over me and go back to sleep!
If maman knew I was on the computer at four thirty in the morning instead of sleeping an extra hour, she'd have a moo-cow or drag me outta' bed by my hair--or my EAR!! *OW* Or worse, take away my computer privileges!!
(She doesn't really do that when she tries to get me up; however, I AM hard to wake up most mornings!! I am NOT a morning person--MOST of the time!!)
Well, I am going to go now, go back to bed, sleep until NOON!! (I plan to anyway!) Hey, I have that right: no school today; school cancelled due to weather, SNOW DAY!! Maybe I'll get out in it later, get into a nice snowball fight with the family! That sounds like fun!!
