A New Way to Go to Sleep

The Land of Reverse

By Dave Manousos

It was late one night and Sam couldn't sleep,

He tried everything, even counting sheep.

He tried to sleep hanging off his bed.

He tossed and he turned and he stood on his head.

Hour after hour, Sam lay there awake.

How many tock ticks was it going to take?

Then Sam sat straight up with a crazy, new thought:

I’ll pretend I’m sleeping, it’s the best thought I’ve got!”

So Sam took a breath and he shut his eyes tight.

He thought ten miles left, and then ten miles right.

He let his mind wander, then fell in head first,

And found he was standing in the Land of Reverse.

Oh there's more, much more...
