You know you're a baby boomer when you remember some of these. This is from Carousel Kisses, Miscellaneous Memories. Hope they make you smile.

Do you remember the old black Royal typewriters that had round keys with silver metal around them? A bell rang when you got to the end of a line. You had to hit the lever on the left and push the carriage over to the right. When you made a mistake you used an eraser with a rubber wheel on one end and a brush on the other that made holes in the paper.

How about black box cameras, or maybe you had a Brownie with a flash attachment? You had to load the film in a dark hallway so the light didn’t expose it. Remember burning your fingers on flashbulbs and the way they bubbled up after you took the picture? Then we got instamatic cameras with flashcubes and film cartridges.

Did you have a transistor radio?

Remember the Edsel? White wall tires? Studded snow tires? Snow chains on tires?

Weren’t drive-in movies great? You’d hang the speaker over the window, get it all situated and then it didn’t work so you had to move to another spot. How about movies in 3-D?

Did you wear penny loafers?

Do you remember your first record player? 78rpm records? Record needles? Long playing albums? Your collection of 45’s? The plastic disk that went in the hole so you could play them on your machine? Record changers?

Did you go to record hops or sock hops?

Remember Pinky Lee, Ding Dong School, Kukla, Fran and Ollie, Big Brother, Bob Emery? Rin Tin Tin, Lassie, Fury, Flicka, and Mr. Ed? Annie Oakley, Sky King, Rescue 8, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Gene Autry? The Arthur Godfrey Show?

Did you see The Beatles when they appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show for the first time?

Were you a Halo girl?

Do you still have your silver charm bracelet?

Do you remember doctors making house calls?

Did you have a Princess phone?

Remember inkwells and fountain pens?

Wearing your boyfriend’s letter sweater?

Soda fountains, soda jerks? Ice cream in cone shaped paper cups inside metal holders? Tabletop jukeboxes? The malt shop?

Did you use linen handkerchiefs with embroidered edges? My Aunt Dolly kept hers in a transparent triangle shaped box with blue ribbons around it on her nightstand.

I loved my Aunt Norma’s four-poster pineapple bed. Remember mahogany beds with pineapples carved on each post?

Do items in antique stores remind you of your childhood? How many times do you point and say, “I had one of those?”

Did you watch the Mickey Mouse Club? Who was your favorite Mouseketeer? Annette? Cubby? Darlene? Remember Spin and Marty?

Did you love Gumby and Pokey?

If you have fond memories of most of the above, you are truly a baby boomer.
