Dear Journal~

Ronee' here.  Won't be here for long; just wanted to let y'all know I got here safe and sound.  Daddy's with me; I'm not alone. 

I am here in Las Vegas, Nevada, for a chance to audition for "America's Got Talent 2008".  I tried out last year; didn't make it, so here I am again.  I tried out in Nashville; was good enough to go to Las Vegas, so here I am.  Tonight's my chance; if I make it, great; if not, it's not the end of the world.

Will be disappointed, yes, but I have to go on, concentrate on continuing with my life.

The weather here is sunny, promises to be hot, temps in the 100s.  Ick.  I hate the heat; it makes me itch!  Feels like I have a million bugs crawlin' all over me.  It's nasty!!

This is when I wish I lived in Alaska; don't have to worry about heat rash or bugs there (excepting for maybe mosquitoes; but that's only during the summertime!).

I will be singing "Jambalaya", also will be playing  my accordion, for the audition.  I just hope Piers Morgan or Sharon Stone don't tear me up like a pair of hungry dogs; they are known for their honest, brutal criticicism, at times, reducing contestants to tears.

If I cry on national television, I'll just die!!

Not really, but I WILL be embarrassed to show my face ever again!! LOL

Well, I have to get ready, go over to the place where the show is being taped, practice, and then hopefully make the judges like what I do.  All I can do is try my best, and try not to let those darned ol' nerves get the best of me--again!!  Say a prayer for me; pray I make it past the choppin' block (the judges)!!

I will let you know how I do next time!  Hopefully I'll make it in to the semi finals--or at least a chance for a spot on the show!!
