We understand each other, most of the time.......

It was my first trip to America. I was a student from Edinburgh (that''s Edinburra to you) and Camp America had placed me in the beautiful Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts, at Camp Onota.

Now I got used to dropping the ''u'' as in favor and got over the laugh about calling my trousers, pants. I was making progress. But when I was asked to do some art work, I made a draft in pencil first. I then needed to erase my work and add the colour ..... oops .....color but I had no means to do so.

Accordingly I approached the young and beautiful secretary at her desk in the camp Onota office for some assisstance.

"Good morning Ma''am. I wonder if you have a rubber I can use?"

Almost fresh from Shanghai, I called for the lift in the building where I worked. I'd go with the other girls to tiffin and certainly, most surely, thought everyone pronounced it aluminium. I didn't know you bought plants at a nursery instead of babies. The international community in Shanghai still had high tea and to this day I don't understand how they could eat another meal later. We did, though.
I like the Scots, and have always wanted to visit Culloden to pay my respects. I've lived around but am glad to stay home now. My output is based on those places. Good on you, Miller. Lucille
