The world of words is introduced to children in colorful picture books...

They pour over each one with excitement and absorb each new word

like a sponge. It's wonderful to see their faces light up when they

understand and put words together to form sentences and start

writing words. Sometimes children want to read the same book over

and over again and each time the words become clearer.

The words are a way to express what is inside of them as well as

drawing and playing. Children are very expressive and it is wonderful

thing. I wish we all could keep this spontaneity in our world! Getting

excited about learning new things is great!

The power of words can be an important turning point in any life. Words

can make you happy or sad. It depends whether you accept what is

said or not. If you are creative and paint a picture and someone tells you

its amazing. You feel good inside because you accept what that person

says. You know the time you spent creating that work of art was

making someone else happy. However, if someone says that

it is awful, you have the choice of either believing that it really is awful

or just remembering that you liked painting the picture. You did not take

the words personally and you went on to paint another picture. That is

important to remember that sometimes other people don't always

like what we say or do, and it isn't about us. It is about how they feel

about something. That doesn't mean we have to feel badly about

ourselves. It is just their point of view. Just keep on being you and

do your best at anything you do. it's as simple as that. You can't

please everyone, so just be happy with yourself.

The world is full of seductive words that tempt us to be thin, beautiful,

younger, sexier, and the list goes on and on...The "words" and the

reality elude us because it is always an inch out of our grasp.  It's

cool to read these words and open your mind but don't feel badly

about yourself because you don't fit the image of what the words

in magazines are trying to sell you. These are marketing strategies

and it isn't about you. Its about words  that sell stuff. Images that

attract attention and giving people what they want or think they want.

That's simple to understand when you want to sell perfume or

lingerie or sexy stuff. You don't want to sell stuff with regular people

on the cover because it would be laughable. Imagine how many

bikinis would you sell if they put them on a person who clearly

can't fit into one? Sometimes its good not to take ourselves so

seriously. Having a sense of humor is a good thing and if you can

laugh at the little things that other people stress over you can

be alot happier in life.  Just be you and your words will flow

like beautiful waterfall and sparkle with your personality!

So if you take the power of words and images and not take it so

personally you can almost giggle at the possibilities that the reality of

images that try to seduce us in magazines and television. Sex sells and

its part of the way of the world. It  sells cars, perfume, cosmetics, books,

magazines...

The reality of it is that the people on the cover are air brushed

so if you see them on the street they don't look quite the same as

on that cover...Oh, that would be wonderful to be air brushed...

everything perfect and ageless... lol   (I wish...)

It is always good to be impeccable with our words because we

can say what we mean and be true to our word. But the world isn't

always impeccable and just use your common sense when

you speak because you can make someone's day or you can

make them sad. Look at the postive side of things  Our

perceptions of things are not always as clear as they should be and it is

always good to ask questions before we make any assumptions about

anything. Keep an open mind and don't ever be ashamed of who you

are!

Words can be powerful and beautiful. Use them carefully....
