Dear Journal~

Sarah Wright here.  Thought I'd write with an update regarding my husband, Wayne, who has been in the hospital battling a round of pneumonia.

I have great news:  tomorrow Dr. Jagadish (my husband's primary physician) is releasing Wayne from the hospital.  Tomorrow morning sometime he is expected to go back home!  After a week and a half of uncertainty/fear, our prayers for Wayne have been answered!  It's a miracle!! :)

Wayne has been eating, joking around with the nurses and doctors as they come to see him.  He is certainly feeling much better, acting more like himself.  It is very comforting, satisfying to see.  After seeing my husband laid up in ICU, with a respirator breathing for him, it's nice to see him looking well, normal, again!

The kids are excited that their daddy is coming home.  They've been busy making get-well cards and pictures that I have taken to Wayne every day I've gone to see him at the hospital.  The nurses say my kids are good, thoughtful kids who can teach most kids today a thing or two.  That made me smile.

I love it when people say I'm doing my job as parent right in regards to raising our children!  It makes my career as "domestic engineer" all the more gratifying! :)

Since finding out that daddy is coming home, the kids have been much more animated, active; the house is no longer silent:  it is bursting with renewed energy, activity, and I have been singing aloud more, something I haven't done since Wayne ended up in the hospital (again!).

Members from church have been stopping by, even the pastors.  They've been bringing food, cards, words of prayer, encouragement.  It's so nice to have all the support during this difficult time!

I just hope and pray that our niece, Susie Callaway, can work out her problems.  Seems that she's been reverting back to her former self, refusing to take her prescribed medications, threatening to go back to cutting, harming herself again.  I don't know what her problem is, but she is one very sick little girl; I am most concerned for her!

I got a letter from Rebekkah's mom Naomi telling us about the details of Susie's latest shenanigans, and it's really gotten me scared! 

I still say she should stay with us; that way, at least, we can try to keep an eye on her, raise her in a positive, nurturing, faith-building environment!

Well, I am going to go.  Wayne wants me to switch the television again; seems nothing decent is on except football, news, or (God forbid!) politics or stupid situation comedies that make absolutely no sense whatsoever!  Until later, this is Sarah saying take care and God bless!  I will write from home in a few days or so, to keep you updated on Wayne's recovery!
