Little Colton Blaize Ramey updates us on what has been going on with him and his family.

As per Bonnie's request, I've decided to make this story a much happier one. The last one made her cry. (Sorry 'bout that!)

Howdy!

It's just li'l ol' me, Colton Blaize Ramey, writing!  How you doin'?  Hope this finds y'all doin' great!

I'm now five years old, just turned five 'round Christmas Day.  Got a lot of nice toys and stuff from Santa; he did not forget to come to my house!

I got new toys, including a toy HUMMER that I can ride (it's runned on batteries!), some robot and soldier men, a new puppy that I can sleep with, and lots of drawin' paper, crayons, and colorin' books.  Oh, Santa, he was good to me!!

Did not get a new fiddle, but that's okay.  The one I have now still works real fine.  And I've learned how to play "Orange Blossom Special".  Not really fast at it yet, but I can play it without making too many mistakes!

My fiddle teacher is right proud of me.  I'm proud of me, too, and so is my family!

We played at the Kentucky Opry a few weeks back, and mama, she says I can go into the Star Contest, where they look for the best new singer, music player.  Even kids can enter.  If you win for that week, you go on; if not, you get taken out, and then your chance is over.

I don't want that to happen to me.  I will have to practice really hard, so I don't make any mistakes!

The contest starts next month.  I canNOT wait to perform at the Kentucky Opry again!!

Guess what.  Mama is going to have a baby.  A baby!  That means I won't be the kid anymore; I'll either have a new brother or sister by Christmas time of this year.

Personally, I'd much rather have a new puppy.  (A REAL puppy, not a toy!)  Or maybe a horsie I can ride.

I don't watch America's Got Talent anymore.  It's not on.  I've looked for it, but nope.  Can't find it.  Instead, they got Howie Moneybags on; he's this stupid guy who's always tellin' people to "open the case" and see if they win moneys.  I don't like him; he's silly!!

I wrote to Kaitlyn Maher, but she doesn't write me back.  I think she may be mad at me.  I still want to be her guy, but mama, she says she too busy singing everywhere.  Maybe so, but I'd like to hear from her!

Maybe she is seeing David Militello.  That makes me sad 'cause David's an older man, and I'm closer to her age than he is!

I had a dream about her the other day.  We got married.  That was cool!  When I woke up, I was laughing and smiling.  When I told mama about my dream, she just done shook her head and said I am too little to be thinking about love!  LOL

Well, I'm going to play now.  (With my brother and sister.)  We will then have supper; tonight it's chick'n fritters and french fries with chick peas.  They're good!  Mama's a wonderful cook!  She ought to go on tv, have her own cookin' show!  She'd make millions of dollars that way, and then we'd be rich, rich, RICH!!

We'd be as rich as the president!  Maybe then we could move into the white house and live with him and his family!  :)

Would that make me the vice president's kid??  :P  Hmmm, I wonder....

I will write in here again.  Bye!  Love you!

~Colton Ramey, age five.

A delightful story Karen, well told from a child's perspective, especially considering you haven't been five for awhile yourself.
You go Colton boy!
