JOURNEYS
In my path, somehow along the way, I have suddenly hit a wall and time has just abruptly stopped. I know what direction I am suppose to move in but, I’m wondering if maybe that’s not the place I’m intended to be. When you start to feel as if you are stranded on a dark road and it’s taking forever for light to shine through, within the strategy what do you do next? Work harder and fight, or simply give up and slowly transition into something else, something new that maybe your heart is not so into; that you can be emotionally disconnected from.
First let me explain, writing is something different that not many people understand, and if they don’t understand then how can they fully respect the drive and your need to write everything down, even in the middle of the night or in the middle of a play. Unless words make sense to you, {writing} the unexplainable urge, it’s extremely difficult to describe the rush to a stranger of the art not sharing the same passion. Effortless a total out of body experience that sometimes you write something down, and go back later to read it, you almost have to wonder to yourself “wow” did I really write this? The gift itself is truly amazing because the ideas and words just sort of float off the page and you are just the puppet being directed by a force more powerful than you. The process is so easy, the struggle of staying on track is hard and remaining focused without compromise is even harder.
With all this crashing down on me now all at once, I guess I am standing in the middle of my hardest moment, and I have faith that from here, things can only become easier; right? However, I do feel a lot better now that I’ve managed to put it all on paper and read it out loud. I hope this can help start the next cycle in my journey on this unknown highway. Letting go of distorted emotions is the best weapon for me to liberate myself. Because I need to move beyond this day, this time, this moment, this fear, and free my soul from this burden recognizing the problem won’t answer the question, buy pushing pass this issue can grate me another day in the life, on my journey as an aspiring writer.
