Seems that all is in order! We're ready to rummmmmmmmble!!!!
The BIG day in sports is FINALLY here!! The Super Bowl, the Football Game to end all football games, is going to be on tonight; you can bet your sweet bippies I'll be tuned in, as will millions of other football-hungry, crazed sports fans!!
Tonight, it's the Pittsburgh Steelers verses the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals have never been in a Super Bowl; the Steelers, meanwhile, have won Super Bowls in the past five incrediblt times; they're one of the dynasties in a long, storied history of the Super Bowl. It's going to be a battle to end all battles, and I am ready for some serious gridiron action!!
In case you haven't guessed, this is your football fanatic friend, Johnathon Sandusky. I have always loved football; I love the thrill of players on two opposing teams trying to get a ball to one end of the field to the other without being tackled or knocked out of bounds by players rushing at you, doing everything they possibly can to stop them from reaching their "goal". ("Goal". Get it? A little football humor here, folks: very little! LOL)
I wonder what it must be like run down an expanse of green with millions of fans cheering for you as you try to carry the ball down to the other end of the field. That must be exciting!! I could be another Mean Joe Green, another Troy Aikman, another Bret Favre, another Michael Ervin, another Troy Polamalu. All great players of the past and present, players that give football its due.
Personally, I am rooting for the Cardinals. They have never been in a Super Bowl; the Steelers have experienced victories in the Super Bowl five incredible times; let's give the underdawgs a chance to shine! :) Goooo, Arizona! Peck those Steelers' eyes out!! Woo-hoooooo!!!!!!!
Tonight, we are going to church; instead of a regular Sunday night service, there's a SuperBowl Blowout, where people can have an opportunity to watch the game. For those who aren't interested, there will be games in the gym or fellowship; the kids will be involved, too. We look forward to this night every year; it's one of the best times to be had!
For the halftime festivities, Bruce Springsteen, the Boss, will be performing. It may only be a 12-minute-long show, but it will probably go down in history as one of the biggest blowouts in town.
Over 90,000 people will desend on Tampa Bay, Florida, for the party; millions more around the world will be tuned in. I will be counted on as among those watching. :)
I am really looking forward to it! I have always loved this time of year; it's time for the gridiron greats to show their stuff!!
