Dear Rebekkah Rachel~

Hi!  Thank you so much for the e-mails; sorry if I didn't get back to them right away, but I was sick.  Nothing major, just had a touch of the flu.  It was enough to put me on my back for a few days, but I am feeling much better now, thank goodness!

I'm just relieved it didn't go into pneumonia or some other nasty respiratory illness!  That could have proven to be disasterous; my lungs are already a wreck!

Pray I stay well, especially since tomorrow I'm singin' at the Grand Ole Opry!  No kiddin'!  Me and Ronee' will be singing with Jimmy C. Newman and "Cajun Country"; I'm a little nervous, but I'm really looking forward to it!  It's been a while since we've been to the Opry!

I am glad you are dancing again.  Even though you're doin' it sittin' in a chair, the fact is this:  you're still able to dance.  Be glad for it!  I wish I could dance; however, I'm afraid my dancing days are over, as is walking on crutches.  I never thought I'd say this, but I miss walking on my sticks!

Next Saturday, the family's going to see "Stars On Ice" starring Scott Hamilton and a whole bunch of Olympic figure skaters.  That's going to be sooo cool; they make it look too easy!  (If I ever attempted to do that [that is, if I could walk!!], I'd end up in nose bleed row, my head in a chair!  LOL)  I can't wait!!

I've always wanted to see the ice skaters do their thing!  Now I get that chance; hopefully I'll get to meet some of 'em!  (Just in case, I will have plenty of film and my autograph book handy!!)

Oh, there's that stupid Howie Mandell on television again!  He drives me up a WALL!!  If he's not having green-faced people on, he's always telling others to "Open the case" or "Deal or no deal?"  He's an idiot; I can't stand him!!

Do you like Howie Mandell??  (I hope not!  LOL)

How is the weather there?  Here it's pretty mild, temps in the fifties.  Sunny, too.  We did have some nasty storms last week, but thank God nothing tornadic until they were well east of here.  I hope you didn't get any of the bad weather; I've been praying that you be kept safe!

My weather radio's been getting a svr workout (svr is weather-ese for "severe"!); hopefully it won't be a sign of things to come!  I don't mind severe weather, mind you, just not as long as we keep having it week after week after week!

Hopefully the weather isn't doing too bad there!

Well, how is school going for you?  I'm doing okay at school, but I don't like all the homework they're piling on us; they're killin' me!!  Sometimes I don't get to bed before 11 o'clock or even later; then I have to be up at five.  It's nuts!  No wonder I'm falling asleep by lunchtime! 

How's the family doing?  Hopefully they're doing okay!  Tell them all hello from me, give them my love!  Tell them I've been praying for them every day!

Well, this isn't much, but I just wanted to write, to let you know I was still alive.  LOL  Take care, write when you can, and know I love you more than the sun and moon and stars!  God bless you always!
