Dear Journal~

Johnathon here.  Sorry if I haven't written in a while; been trying to get over a recent bout of the flu.  Not a bad case, to where it would require hospitalization, but still, the flu, nevertheless.

It really knocked me on my tail.  It's left me feeling weaker than a newborn kitten; just about everything I do requires superhuman effort.  It's really a pain in the tukus!!

I've been having extra therapy, plus I've been resting, trying to get extra sleep, trying not to overexert myself.  My breathing is okay, but just my strength is something left to be desired.  I bet even a mouse could beat me at arm wrestling; that's how weak I feel!  LOL

The weather isn't helping:  we're under winter weather advisories here in Nashville.  One to two inches of snow tonight, another one to two inches possible tomorrow.  There may not be any church tomorrow, if this keeps up.

It may be the start of March soon, but it's coming in like a lion.  Let's hope by the time Easter rolls around that it's more like a gentle lamb!  I am more than ready for this cold or snow to end!!

Yes, Easter is just about a month away.  Church is gearing up for its annual Easter Cantata; I will probably participate in it again this year.  If I don't do the sign language, I'll probably be one of the characters.  I just hope I don't flub up; I hate it whenever I mess up in front of an audience!

I just hope that Mack doesn't show his pants again like he did the past few years!  I don't know why the production people don't make sure that his robe is all the way down before he "ascends" into "Heaven"!  I mean, I don't want to see his hairy legs or  his "assets" again!

I mean, he's supposed to be Jesus in the play; it's supposed to be serious stuff, not a comedy!!

I don't know how my sister Ronee' (or any of the other featured vocalists, for that matter) could have sung after Mack's "revealing ascension" into "Heaven"!  I would be doing everything in my power not to think about his legs or pants and not to bust a gut laughing again!!

Rebekkah Cohen, my girlfriend, has called me several times this week (and last), checking up on me.  She knows I've been ill; she's been worried about me.  I really appreciate her concern; she is such a sweetheart!  I am so glad she's back in my life; I just love her (and her family) so much!!

We are back at our church again.  The damage from the burst pipe has been resolved, repaired.  Our sanctuary looks better than ever, according to our pastor!  If we aren't cancelled tomorrow, we will have our first service in our (repaired) sanctuary; it will be nice to go to church again--that is, if the weather will co-operate (which, I doubt, it will, judging from the latest forecast)!

(We have had church at a grocery store that's been out of business for a while; the owners of the property allowed Pastor Bilkey to use their facilities to have church while our building was being repaired.  'Course, the crowds were a lot smaller, but the Lord's presence was still there!)

Then, besides the Cantata, we have the Kevin Spencer Family and the McKameys performing the week before, and in June, we have our revival, with the MacGruders and the Gaither Vocal Band.  Busy times ahead at Christ Community Assembly of God; I will be so busy I won't be sure whether I'm coming or going, because I'll spend a lot of extra time at church!

Wheee!  LOLOLOL

I don't mind, but I just hope it doesn't cut into my homework time, or else I will have to bust my bunions trying to keep up!  Yarggg!!

Well, I'm getting stupid; getting sleepy.  I am going to go now; I will write in here again soon (hopefully before the Cantata).  Until then, this is Johnathon signing out of here!  Take care, God bless, and say some prayers of healing for me; I really could use them!  Thanks a lot!
