Sheniqua Williams is still dealing with the death of one of her very favorite entertainers.

Saturday, June 27, 2009, Dallas, Tx., 6:45 a.m., D.S.T.~

Dear Journal~

This is Sheniqua Williams writing.  I have written before, just have never done any journaling.

I thought I would start this off by writing about Michael.  As in Michael Jackson.  Michael Jackson so happened to be one of my very favorite entertainers; I remember listening to him when I was but a mere child, growing up and loving his music.

I remember watching  him on television, wishing that I could be one of the ones lucky enough to see him in concert; seeing him in concert was one of my childhood fantasies that carried on to adulthood.

Well, about two years ago, I did finally get that opportunity!  Boy, talk about being in Heaven!  (Not really, but you know what I mean! LOL)  Anyway,  I went to see him in concert in Beaumont/Port Arthur, with some friends; it was the best concert of my life!!  What an entertainer!!  WOW!!!!

I screamed until I could scream no more; and he even shook my hand and smiled at me!  I about DIED!!!!

Out of all those thousands of screaming fans in attendance, Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, chose to shake my hand!!!!

I still haven't washed my hand, and it's been two years!  (My hand must be very dirty by now!  LOLOLOLOLOL)

Now he's gone, and I find myself asking the same question millions the world over ask:  "Why???"

Radio stations around the world are paying tribute by playing "All Michael Jackson, all the time"; now I can't hear one of his songs without crying yet again.

The world has lost a true phenomenon, a true icon; his death will be felt for years to come.

This on top of Farrah Fawcett who also died on the same day Michael Jackson did (only she died in the morning; she died of cancer; Michael died of sudden cardiac arrest), and Ed McMahon, who died a few days before, at the age of 86.  (Farrah was only 62.)

This has been a very bad week for celebrity deaths!

Michael Jackson was only fifty when he died:  far too young, just a baby!

His death was totally unexpected; maybe that's why the world is having such a hard time grasping it.  I know I am; I can't hear his name, see his face, or hear one of his songs without crying!  Seems that's all I've been doing for the past two days:  bawling my eyes out!!

Well, the tears are threatening to spill once again, so I will go for now.  I will write in here again another time; until then, this is Sheniqua Williams signing off!  Take care and God bless!

~Love, Sheniqua, your friend in Texas.  :(  *tears for Michael*

May God be with his family, friends, and legions of fans during this time of unbelievable sadness; they are all in my prayers and thoughts!

How very sadly true, but their memories will never die.
