Will had gotten all the Robinsons together in the cave as he did the fake castaways, the Robinsons and Dr. Smith were real the castaways were not .Will's decision was to hold the fake castaways prisoners in the cave blocking it so they wouldn't get out .

Still that left him and his there on the island .Over the months since they were indeed back on Earth the Professor, Will and Major West fixed the Jupiter Two .And they decided to call for a rescue instead .

The Professor could not believe he was being rescued . But as the ship came and rescued the Robinsons and Dr. Smith the Professor decided to stay after all the years he had  been alone he could not forget his dear and only friends .So as the spaceship was left on the island  a monument forever the Robinsons and Dr. Smith were returned too civilization .

The Professor remained and when the day came he laid next to all his friends and died there instead .

The Robinsons returned to normal life they did all except for Dr. Smith, not being able to adjust to his life here on Earth and believing he was home after all Dr. Smith was committed and place in an insane asylum he still believed he was in outer space flying on the Jupiter Two .Alone .

' Look,' he told the Robot ,' It's Earth I know it .'
