My name is Gabi Woodman.  I am 22 years old, and I live with my family in Eugene, Oregon.  I have been a native Oregonian all my life.

I go to college at a Christian-based school.  I have now started my second year; I love it.  I am studying to become a teacher to children with special needs.  I would like to be a mentor to kids, especially those who have disabilities, such as I do.

I was born disabled.  Born without arms or hands.  In order to get around, I use a motorized wheelchair (or power scooter).  To do things, I use my stumps.  It's not easy, but I've learned to compensate for my problems.

My parents have always taught me that I can do anything I set my mind to.  It helps having a personal relationship with God; I accepted Jesus Christ as my saviour when I was a little girl of seven; I have been nothing but blessed.  I go to a spirit-filled, Bible-believing, dynamic nondenominational church; I go to church every Sunday and Wednesday.  I have many friends at church; they have become my second family.

I have a ton of friends, both at school and here at home.  I also have my church friends.  I am not alone; I can find plenty to do, such as go to the senior citizen's home and sing for the people there, helping with the homeless or the Veterans once or twice a month, mentoring kids, and so much more.

To type, it takes me a while, but I am persistant.  I love to write; it just takes time.  That is one of my goals:  to have a book before I am thirty; I think I would like to write about my life.  I think I have a very interesting life that should be shared.

If I can't do something, I won't try it, but I am willing to try anything once.  LOL
