Dear Journal~

I am sooo glad that's overwith and done!  Today left to go, and the Harvest Festival is over as of three o'clock this afternoon!

We had an awesome turnout:  over 20,000 people converged on our "little" church during the past two days, and everyone who came had a marvelous time!  My voice is rather hoarse this morning, so I won't be singing on the worship team.  Let someone else sing for me!   (I sound  more like a croaking bullfrog!  LOL)

I hope we reached our community with the love of Christ in our actions, our words, even our thoughts.  I hope some people took the Message to heart and made the life-changing decision to accept Christ as their Lord and Saviour.  That was one of the main reasons why we put on this festival, especially during these, the last days, before Christ returns to take His children home to be with him in Glory!

I am sitting here, watching Bill and my folks get the kids ready.  There's a lot of hustle-and-bustle going on; there always is around our house in the mornings.  Kids trying to find missing shoes or socks, or deciding what clothes to wear.  Kids whining that they're hungry, they want breakfast.  Like now!!  Kids needing a change.  Kids crying that they can't find their hairbrushes or hair accessaries.  It's nothing but mass chaos around here!  LOL

Think they're still hopped-up on Hallowe'en candy and treats!  LOL  They'll be wound up for a year!  LOLOLOL

We really enjoyed the music yesterday and before:  they had the MacGruders and the McKameys; today they have the Kevin Spencer Family at noon.  We have always loved the music of these three groups; we have seen two of these groups before (the MacGruders and the Kevin Spencer Family); we'd never seen the McKameys until last night, and they put on a most enjoyable show.  Peg McKamey (the mama) is so full of energy although she is a senior citizen; she is one of the most anointed ladies I have ever seen!  Such a ball of fire!  She was so cute; I just loved her!

We performed yesterday, and it felt good to be on stage as a family!  It's been a while since a good portion of our family got together and sang for the crowd!  I hope they enjoyed our music; I pray they did!

We saw some original costumes yesterday:  a guy dressed up as a fire hydrant.  A man and a woman dressed as Siamese twins.  Lots of kitties or dogs.  Tons of witches, goblins, ghosts, even some devils (and angels), and even a Frankenstein and a mummy.  Farmers.  Spiders.  Ladybugs.  Butterflies.  Robots.  Princesses and princes.  Kings and queens.  The Tin Man and other Oz denizens.  (My husband was the Tin Man.)  The most unique costume I saw was the couple dressed as the Siamese twins; they got first prize in the costume contest.  They won something like $500.00 cash. 

In the kid's costume contest, it was a three-way tie between my daughter Jodie (a yellow Peep chicken) and my twin sons, Ian and Isaiah, who were a pair of hot dogs.  They couldn't decide who to pick as the overall winner, so all three got the top prize ($100.00 cash).  I was so proud of them; they looked so cute in their costumes!

Ronee' was amused yesterday:  after she and her band, "Cajun Spice", performed, she went to go on some of the rides with her friends, and while walking by the Zipper ride, she found $50.00 lying on the ground.  So she is $50.00 richer.  (She will probably put that in her Christmas shopping money fund; she will probably start that in a week or two.)

Johnny was amused because even though it was bright wall-to-wall sunshine out, he didn't get sunburnt.  Sun is getting lower in the sky, so there's less opportunity for him to get burned. 

I saw Pastor Bilkey yesterday; he has a black eye (Ronee' pegged him with a ball while playing a game of chance); it really looks bad.  I felt sorry for him!  I apologized to him about what my daughter did; he said, "No problem; accidents happen!"  (And they do!  LOL)  So glad he was a good sport about it!  :)

Well, I know this isn't much, but I have to get ready and get everyone loaded into the two vans so we can head over to church.  I will write in here again another day; until then, this is Louisiana signing off!  Take care, and God bless you always!  Talk to you again soon!
