Two friends look forward to spending the holidays together.

Wayne (aka "Weed") Dunsmore here.  Sorry if I haven't written in here in such a long while; things have been crazy at best.

For starters, Christmas is just one week away.  Can you believe it?  We're nearly through with another year!  Where do they go so fast?  When we were little, they just dragged; now as we get older, they skim by so quickly!!

Secondly, my friend, Hemp Rodgers, nearly died back in September:  he had a horrible case of the swine flu that landed him in the hospital in Intensive Care.  I was really worried about him; so were a lot of people, but thank God he recovered, which was a huge answer to prayer!

It was a terrible sight to see him in the ICU, tubes going in and out of him, monitors recording his vital signs.  I will never forget it; I'm just glad he is back to normal now!

Third, we had our mid-term exams last week.  Let's just say I could have done better, but at least I passed.  Ma wasn't too happy about me getting a C on it, but I told her at least I didn't flunk out.  Hemp did a lot better:  he got an A- on the durned thing; I was rather jealous of him!!

Last Sunday at our church, we had the children's Christmas pageant.  It was cute; I really enjoyed it!  In two days is the Cantata, which is put on by the adults and the choirs (both the children's and adult's).  I will be partaking in it; I play a kid who discovers the true meaning of Christmas in a surprising way.

I pray our Cantata goes without incident; we've really been working hard on it!!  (I have my lines memorized; I go over them every night for an hour before I hit the sack.)

My little brother, Cohen Riley, is excited about Christmas:  he knows that Santa is coming, and seeing all the lights, decorations, and the Christmas tree sitting in our livingroom only heightens it tenfold.  (We adopted Cohen back in February; he came to us from Russia.  He's a little cutie and is learning English so quickly!)

As you can see, I'm no longer an only child, not since Cohen entered the picture.  It was hard to get used to it at first, but Cohen is a great kid.  I really love him, and it's cute seeing him discovering the world around him!  He kinda reminds me of myself when I was little!

Oh, I have my moments where I want to kill him (not really), but he's just a little kid, and I have to learn to be patient with him.  He's still a great little brother, and I am glad moms and pops decided to take him in as their own!

And I can blame him when things go wrong or don't go as planned!  LOL

I am excited about Christmas too:  I am hoping I get the mp4 player I've been eying at Best Buy!  :)

I'd also like some books and some warm sweaters.  The ones I have now have just about worn out their welcome!

Oh, and money would be nice, too! :)  Money is a great gift!  It fits everyone, and nobody ever returns it!  Satisfaction guaranteed!  :D

Well, I gotta scoot:  time to change classes.  I will write in here again soon; I am sorry it's been a while.  Now you know why.  Take care, and may God bless you!  And above all, Merry Christmas; may it be your best Christmas EVER!!

~Wayne (aka "Weed") Dunsmore.  :)
