Last week was very exciting. On my blog, “Bigfoot Ballyhoo,” three new sightings were reported and discussed. Two of the sightings were near Corvallis and one was near Elkton. Before talking about these sightings, I want to tell you that blogs such as mine are a great place to report a sighting. There are men and women that read these blogs that have dedicated themselves to getting to the bottom of this subject. They have themselves witnessed the animal or are convinced he exists. These investigators will treat you with respect and keep your name from being maligned. I would, however, continue to report sightings to the police even if they are not taken seriously. It is my opinion that these animals when sighted have made a mistake, and this mistake could be from disease, a disease that may embolden the animal to do things out of character. And in that case, a record of the sighting could prove invaluable.

     The Elkton sighting occurred early morning at the Elkton tunnel. The animal appeared old, limping, and seemingly confused. It crossed the road in front of the observer’s car in very few strides, even with its limp. The observer did not believe these animals existed until this sighting.      Near Siletz, Dec. 12, two doctors traveling to Corvallis on Hwy 20 observed a Bigfoot step onto the road then disappear into the near brush. A Bigfoot investigator examined the area but could not find footprints because of rocky soil. The second reported sighting could not be investigated because the couple seeing the animal was unhappy with their treatment by the local police and refused to talk to anyone. In fact, the pair has decided that if they see another animal they will not say a word. Evidently a short snippet was aired on the local TV news of the sighting. The policeman interviewed stopped just short of calling names and insisted what the couple saw was a bear.
