What happens when a stranger comes to your front door.

Here it was another Christmas Eve and I was alone again. I was watching the movie "It's A Wonderful Life" but I paused it because I started to feel depressed. I began to reflect on my own pitiful life. That would make an interesting movie I thought. Who would play me? Pee Wee Herman? Nah he looks nothing like me, Freddy Kruger would be a better choice.
I was thirsty and wanted a cup of coffee but that would lead to a bout with insomnia. The door bell rang and I thought who could this be at 9:30 on Christmas Eve? Then I heard a very soft knock at the door. I opened it to find a very slim tall man with long hair and a full but very long beard standing there. His clothing was very wrinkled and
looked like he had been wearing them for days. I am sorry he said with a slight but strange accent, is it possible to get some water. I started to dismiss him because he resembled a stoner. But I looked directly into his eyes they were brown and clear. So I invited him in and offered him to sit. He said he would rather stand because he could not stay long he had something to do somewhere. He then said something I should have taken more serious. He said I just came here to spend a little time with you. I thought nothing of what he said although I was feeling very depressed.
As I poured him a glass of water I looked back at him, it seemed like he had an aura around his head. I blinked and it disappeared. He thanked me for the water drank it and said I have to go now I have something to do. We shook hands, his hand was strong yet soft to the touch. We said goodbye as he left my home.
I watched him walk away from my window. He appeared to be walking as if he was carrying something very heavy. Yet he was carrying nothing.
He disappeared from my sight so I turned and returned to my TV set.
I was watching the local news when the announcer said there was a news bulletin. There had been a fire just 3 blocks from my house. A whole family of 6 was rescued by a passerby. They showed the passerby on the screen. It was the stranger who was at my home earlier that evening.
It was then that I seen JESUS CHRIST in living color.
