Dear Journal~

Brrrr!  I think my blood has just turned into ice:  checked the thermometer outside my bedroom window, and it is registering 13 degrees Farenheit!  And with all the snow we got, it just makes it even colder, as does the stiff north wind howling at 25-30 mph.

BRRRR!!

Good thing I'm in my bedroom, in my bed, wrapped up in my blanket, with my kittycat, "Cajun", lying across my feet!  It's just a little bit too cold for my South Louisiana Cajun blood to handle!  I like cold weather to an extent, but not this cold!!

No school tomorrow, due to the blizzard that we got earlier today (it started snowing with a vengeance around 11 last night), hasn't stopped yet.  I know we got at least a foot and a half of snow out there!  The schools have already decided not to have classes tomorrow, so I guess I'm stuck inside (we all are).  No complaints; I can talk to my friends on my cell phone or play Wii, watch a movie, read one of my new books, or listen to some of my music.  Or maybe practice my music:  anything to keep my mind busy!

Ronee' here as if you haven't figured that out already.  I'm doing pretty good; at least I'm not hurting like I was before this latest snow event began!  I just had my supper:  had a big bowl of maman's famous home-made chili con carne; it was yummy!!  I also had mashed potatoes; just smothered the liver out of 'em with the chili!  Yummmmm!  That's one of my very favorite meals that maman makes!  And on a cold, frigid night like tonight, it just can't be beat!!

I'm now in my room, trying to decide what to do after I'm done writing in my journal.  LOL 

Gemini and Barbara, my roomies, are in the livingroom with a good chunk of the family, playing Wii; I can hear them laughing uproariously.  They're playing the bowling game on the Wii system; they're having a good time.  I would join them, but I was a little cold, so I decided to lie down and try to get warm underneath my nice, thick woollen blanket.

Maybe I'll turn in early.  Getting a bit on the sleepy side.  *yawnnn*  LOL 

School is going well; glad I got my science project out of the way!  I did a project about supercell storms:  what they are, what makes a supercell a supercell, why they are different from regular storms, what they can do, etc.  I got an A on it.  I was very happy with my grade; I sure put enough work into it!  Johnny should have had this project; he's the weather geek of the family!  LOL

I should have done one on the aurora borealis or something, but Winston Grubbs, my classmate, got that one.  :/

In science, we've been studying meteorology.  As much as I love storms (NOT!!), I don't think a career in meteorology is in the cards for me.  Guess that's why I am going to continue to stick with music.  :)  (Ya think??  LOL)

Next we will be studying about hibernation and animals.  Should be fun; I love science class!

Well, I'm getting sleepier, so I am gonna kill this and hit the sack early after I medicate myself.  I can sleep in tomorrow; no school, on 'count of the blizzard.  I will write in here again soon; until then, this is Ronee' saying take care and God bless!  Love ya more than Niagara Falls!

Oh!!  Forgot one thing:  we were supposed to have a real-life storm chaser come in to talk about severe weather.  On account of school being closed, it was a no go.  Hopefully next week (or the week after) he can come and talk to us then. 

Maman asked me last night before I went to bed if I'd like to chase storms.  She knows my StormFear.  I looked at her like she had three heads and said, "I don't think so!!"  I told her I'd be the one hidin' under the back seat, whimpering, "Make.  It.  Stawwwwwp!!!!"  LOL
