Mia Cranston writing. I am sorry if I haven't written in so long; working lots of hours at two different jobs, trying to put food on the table. Now that I don't get as much in disability (due to my working), I had no choice but to get a second job; the one job just wasn't helping me financially.
I am still in contact with Joe C. Reed, the man who was so instrumental in helping me several years back when my car broke down yet again. I was late for work, and everything that could go wrong did. Yet this stranger came and helped me in unexpected ways; he even offered to give me a lift to my job, which he did. I did get chewed out by the boss for being late, but he later apologized when he understood the reasons behind it.
Joe calls me every week, to see if I need anything. He takes me to the store or to my doctor's appointments. He does so much for me; yet he expects nothing in return. That's just the type of fellow he is. He is very sweet, and I've since started to have feelings for him (though I have been too chicken to tell him that LOL).
My mom and dad have since passed on; I do have my sister Megin and brother Willie; if Joe doesn't look out for me, then Willie and Megin do. I have a wonderful family; it's gotten smaller, but we're still very close; always have been. And now I have Joe Reed, whom I love llike my brother and sister (although he doesn't know that part yet! LOL).
I also have my friends from church and both jobs. They look out for me too, especially if the weather's bad. If it gets bad outside, I don't go out; snow/ice and crutches just don't mix very well. I tend to fall a lot, and I'm always scared of getting hurt somehow. If I have to work and it's bad out, I get a ride, either from Megin, Willie, or from Joe Reed. Or any of my friends from work who aren't afraid to drive around on ice or snow.
I have a wonderful church family. In fact, the church I go to is the same one Joe attends: Christ Commnity Assembly of God, which is a nondenominational church. I've been going to services there for the past two or so years, and I absolutely love it there.
I was so surprised when I found out that Joe C. Reed went to the same church as I do!
Well, I am at work as I write this, and if the boss finds out I'm goofing off instead of going through the latest round of orders, I'd be out on my rear faster than you can say 'Jack Daniels'! LOL I will write in here again soon; until then, this is Mia Cranston saying bye! Take care!
~Mia.
