After all, Mr. Season Garden said he had to defend himself.
Dear Ms. Wilson:
This letter is acknowledging your memo and return of your flowerbeds to my attention. I will look into the matter at hand and get back to you at a much later date.
Sincerely,
Mr. Season Garden

Dear Ms. Wilson:
As promised, I am responding to your memo to my attention. It was most unfortunate while I was away on business you had to return two flowerbeds along with your memo to my attention.
Imagine my utter disbelief and shock when upon my arrival; I was met by the members of the National Flower Society Association, with your returned flowerbeds in their possession. My fine establishment had the honors of being named Best Floral and Flower Business for the past seven years and I look forward to continuing this prestige recognition. Needless to say, it was the first time in my 60+ years; I was speechless.
In my defense, I stammered out that this particular customer has always had the greatest difficulty with her gardening abilities tsk tsk.
HA! In my mind I sure wish I had the guts to let the following scenario go!
In my defense, I stammered out a quick reply to the members of the association, as well as winning an "Oscar" for my moment in the spotlight, by stating:
Into the ground went the seed.
Out surfaced something that would shame a weed.
A green thumb she says she has.
A green thumb I declared she has … Not!
(You see Ms. Wilson; I do have a sense of humor.:))
However, to convince the members of my above observation of your unique talents, I stated that I would take the remaining seeds out the package and follow the directions to the letter. I convinced three of the members to take midnight drive out to your residence and take a look at your garden in process. Perhaps by viewing, it would give us a clue as to what exactly goes on in your garden. I am not sure if there is a word in the English vocabulary to describe what we saw. Though the plastic arrangements are a credit to your decorating ability. However, it did clear up a few mysteries for me and now I understand why your daughter always moves to the back of the store when you come in make your purchases.
As earlier stated, I planted the seeds in the same flowerbeds you returned. I also purchased the same type of dirt you had, as well as your garden accessories. After the proper growing time passed, I called the members of the Association over to verify the Zinnia’s in full bloom. When you get a chance Ms. Wilson, please feel free to stop by the shop to observe the beautiful Zinnias that are blooming from your returned flowerbeds and congratulate me on my 8th time receiving a plaque of recognition from the National Flower Association Society.
Sincerely,
Mr. Season Garden
PS. (A note to the readers) This poor child is my niece. Please bear with us.
