Hello from Music City USA!

Terri Hershey here.  Thought an update was in order, so here goes nothing ...

I am happy to say Danielle Grace is thriving.  She is now three months old and is as cute as cute can be.  She looks just like her big brother; there's no denying that they are brother and sister!  She was on oxygen, but that has been discontinued; she is extremely healthy, which has been a huge answer to prayer!

David dotes on his little sister.  He loves helping me take care of her (excepting when it comes to diaper duty, that is!  LOL).  He is learning responsibility, which will, in kind, help him developmentally. 

I last wrote on Christmas day.  It's now the day before St. Paddy's Day, March 16.  I never knew a little baby could keep me so busy; wow, but this new little creature in my life sure does keep me on my toes!  :)

I am happy to say that Randy, my ex, is back in his children's lives; he wants to get to know them better and make them see that they do indeed have a father figure in their lives.  That doesn't mean I will take him back, but to have him in his kids' lives is very important to me.  I am learning to forgive him for the pain he caused when he ran out on me upon finding out that our firstborn had disabilities.

Academically, David is continuing to do well.  He gets high marks in all of his classes, especially music; he is such a gifted little singer!  He will be performing tomorrow as part of the city's annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration/Parade; I know he will do a great job!  He did such a wonderful job during the Cantata before stage fright overtook him, and he ran off he church stage after he was through, just crying his little heart out!  I felt so bad for him!

David is now on Easter break, so he is home from school this week.  He is loving it; he hates to get up early in the morning!  Some of our biggest battles happen when I try to get him up for school; he can be such a little grinch!  LOLOLOLOL

As long as he can sleep in, he's happy, so I just let him.  Yesterday he didn't get out of bed until noon, the lazy little slug!  LOL

And his sister was so fussy yesterday:  it is a wonder her crying didn't wake him up and/or get him out of bed! 

David tried out for AGT this year; he might have a chance.  He did very well during the audition; the AGT people were impressed with his strong, powerful voice.  He has only gotten better in his singing, considering he has never had voice lessons:  it is a God-given gift!  (Now if we can only work on his stage fright ... )

We are awaiting word to see if David made it, but so far, nothing.  Oh, well ...  no news is good news, I guess.  :)

Spring has sprung here in Nashville ...  and so have my allergies.  Spring has always been one of the worst times for my allergies to act up!  I can't tell you when I have sneezed so much than in the past week!  Goodness!  Thank God David doesn't have my allergies; for that, I can thank God! :)

Well, I am going to run:  Danielle is squeaking; she must be waking up.  I will have to tend to her.  Meanwhile, David continues to snore in his slumber; he looks as snug as a little bug in a rug.  He looks so cute and innocent!  Take care and may God bless you; I will write in here again (hopefully before Easter and our church's Cantata, which is coming up quick!!).
