THROUGH THE EYES OF SEPTEMBER
“They say that if you look long enough at it, she’ll smile for you.”
Black nothingness loomed beyond the woman in the gallery photograph. With shadows protecting her modesty like jealous lovers, the model pouted in nude black-and-white splendor. The bottom border of the twenty-four-by-thirty-two photograph bore the name of the artist who’d titled the artwork “September.”
She reposed in a seductive sprawl that offered art lovers the most breathtaking view of her derrière, her face cast backward over her left shoulder as if in afterthought. Her dark eyes stared beyond the edge of the photo, fixed on something or someone she appeared to regard as prey…
