A boy with a rather wild reputation shares his story.

Image of keel-tailed grackles (C) 2010, by Karla Dorman.

My name is Brandon H. Lee, but my friends (and just about everyone else) calls me Dragon.  I am fifteen years old and live in Tacoma, Washington, with my family.

I guess people call me Dragon because of the huge dragon shaped tattoo on my arm.  I also have a big dragon on my back, but nobody knows about that unless they see me without my shirt.  I also have a rather wild reputation.  I like to get into fights and drink beer.

Yeah, I know I shouldn't be doing that, but hey ... I have a lot of problems.  School ain't happenin' for me (missed a lot of it this year; going to summer school, which bites!), and I fight a lot with the old man and lady.  I also fight with my little brother, Tyler, who is ten.  We just don't get along.  Never have, never will.

I guess I find solace in drinking and in fighting.  Makes me forget of things that ain't right in my life, and a guy has got to learn to defend himself somehow!

I have a lot of friends.  We usually hang out together whenever I am not grounded (that's something that happens way too often, I'm afraid).  Some of my best friends include Mitchell Jones (aka "Mixer"), Jeremiah Hernandez ("Bones", on account that he is so freakin' skinny), Zebediah Hawkins-Brown ("Venom"), Daniel Richmond ("Digger"), and Goth-Girl (her name is Viviana Diaz).  All of us have serious family problems, so we hang out together to forget the pain in our lives.

Others in our group include "Snake" (Desmond Wilson), "Railroad" (Omar Okefewe), "Tiny" (Edan Woodson), "Beans" (Scott Quillen), and "Narc" (Micheal Ipswitch).  We are all between the ages of fifteen and eighteen with the exception of "Tiny", who is only twelve.  We take care of him and watch out for him, make sure he don't get into any trouble while we aren't around.  He may be twelve, but he looks no older than eight.  He's just a little kid.

My little brother Tyler is way bigger than "Tiny"; he could probably bury him easy.

When I am not with my friends, I like to play video games or hang out at the mall and watch all the good lookin' babes strolling by.  Other than that, I'm at school or hanging out with my friends.  I don't have what you would call a very exciting life unless I'm with my friends.  That's where the action is.  We party, we drink and smoke, and just raise a little hell, teenage style!

This weekend, Goth-Girl's big brother, Chaco, is taking us cruisin'.  We are going to ride around downtown Tacoma late at night (while are parents are asleep of course) and check out the hot babes or hot cars.  This is the first time I have done anything like this, and I am way excited about it.  It shows that I am growing up.  It's gonna be awesome; I can just feel it in my bones!

Well, I gotta go.  Have to eat supper, then get crackin' on my stupid homework for summer school; it's due tomorrow.  Ugh!  I will write in here again another time.  Until later, this is Dragon checkin' outta here.  Take care!

~Dragon.  :)
