Hola, compadres!  Arturo Jiminez here.

I'm doin' a lot better since the last time I wrote.  Mami y papi, they have gotten new jobs: they are both working at the local Golden Corral.  Papi is working in the kitchen, and mami, she is doing dishes as a dishwasher.  It's hard work, and it doesn't pay as much as when they had their restaurant, but it's better than not having any job at all, y'know??

And I am done with summmer school.  I got my grades up, and I passed!  I passed!!!  That means I will be advancing to the next grade; I won't be behind anymore!!!  Isn't that exciting????

I may only have less than a month of summer vacation left, but I am making the best of it.  Swimmin' and skateboardin' just about every day, hanging out with my vatos, veggin' out in front of the television most evenings and watchin' "Family Guy" and "South Park" ... I LOVE those shows!!!!

Mami y papi, they say those shows are muy estupido, but I don't care.  I think they're both pretty hilarious!  They don't like me watchin' those shows, but I do anyway, just to get a rise outta them.  Besides, they don't get home 'til late on the weekends anyway,  So there!  :P  *sticking out tongue*

I have been thinkin' about what I want to do with my life.  Maybe go into the Marine Corps and become a Marine, like my cousin, Teeko.  (He's just gotten back from Iraq; he didn't get hurt, thank the Lord, but it sure messed up with his mind!  He ain't the same person anymore, and it really bothers me.)  Or maybe go to college and decide on a career.  Maybe open up my own cantina, follow in my parents' footsteps before their own cantina folded.

I have plenty of dreams.

The weather has been hotter'n hot.  No worries.  Nothin' that a little swimming can't take care of, to cool one's body down.  I also have been gettin' in some skateboard action, and life is suddenly much better than it was.

I hope it continues because for the longest time, my life sucked!!!!

Well, I am going to go back to bed:  might as well take advantage of it while I still can, before school starts back up in a few weeks. *Sighhhh*  I am NOT lookin' forward to that, especially sine I just finished with summer school!  Until later, take care and talk to y'all again; this is Arturo Jiminez sayin' laters!
