A girl with a rather unusual name shares her story.

Once you learn my name, you'll never forget it.  I can bank on that.

My name is Liberty Bell Fox.  Seriously.  That is my real name!  My mama named me that because I was born on the Fourth of July ten years ago, and she thought it would be the perfect name for a Independence Day baby.

I have long, black hair and dark eyes.  I look just like my daddy.  I have two sisters (Romilla Grace and Tyden Maureen, who are 13 and 14) and one brother, Vance Michael, who is eight.  I'm stuck right in the middle, which bites.

I will be going into the fifth grade the day after Labor Day.

We live in Richmond, Virginia; we've lived here ever since I can remember.

I am a typical ten-year-old girl, even with my oddball name.  I like to gab on the phone with my best friend, Harlowe Dean, go to the mall on Saturdays, play on the computer, rollerblade, play basketball, or play with my dolls, draw, read, write stories, and watch TV ("America's Got Talent" is my fave program).

The only thing odd about me is my name.  Sometimes I hate it because a lot of kids tend to make a big joke out of it.  They say my brain is cracked, just like the real life Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, or that I should have been born in Independence Hall instead of here in Richmond, Virginia.  Or when the fireworks go off on July Fourth, they just say it's me shootin' off my mouth again.  :(

When I grow up, I want to become a pediatrician.  Or maybe an actress or a singer.  I have lots of dreams.  (And no, I do not want to become President of the United States of America, so don't even bother asking!!)

Well, that's my story.  I will write in here again soon; somehow I don't think you've heard the last from me, Liberty Bell Fox!  Take care, and may God bless you always!

~Love, your new friend, Liberty Bell.  :)
