We have finally received word that the child we'd tried so hard to adopt for the past two years is coming to America!!
We applied to adopt Jintha nearly two and a half years ago from India, when she was only four. She's now going on the age of seven. We didn't think we would ever hear from our adoption agency or even get our daughter; then last week, right before Christmas, we got The Call, the call that changed our lives forever! Jintha is going to be ours!! OURS!!
We will finally have the little girl that we always dreamed of having after having three boys!! The boys are finally going to become big brothers!
All we are waiting on is the call to tell us that Jintha is on her way to America: then Paul and myself (Mickie) will gather up Tray, Tyden, and Tariq and head to the airport to pick up our little daughter!
Jintha was born with half her leg missing. She walks with a pair of crutches, but is otherwise healthy. We don't care: to us, she is beautiful, leg or no leg (or at least part of one). She is to be our daughter, and we plan on loving her and giving her all the opportunity to succeed in life. We have only seen pictures of Jintha, but when we do see her in real life, I am sure that plenty of tears will be shed (probably by me, mostly!). I cannot wait to hold her in my arms and shower her sweet little brown face with kisses or wrap her in some mighty bear hugs!!
It was as though God Himself spoke in my ear: "Your turn for a miracle". That is what He said. Then right after that, the phone call to tell us that Jintha was to be our daughter! Now, is that awesome or what????
God is so good! I cannot WAIT until Jintha arrives; then we will finally be a complete family!!!!
(To be continued.)
