RIght now we have a 9.0 earthquake and Tsunami having first hit Japan and is now is rolling up and down the Pacific Coast.
A 8.9 makes it the fifth largest quake in history.
The question becomes: is this related to experiments at Cern?
In another blog in this site the experiment at Cern is delineated and the critics of the project claim that the experiment could threaten the entire planet by altering the earth's magnetic field with accompanying earthquakes and the potential for creating black holes here on earth which would grow and engulf the entire planet.
Another prediction-fear stated was that the gigantic magnets involved at Cern could affect the earth's magnetic field altering north and south with compass directions moving several degrees off their current orientations.
How do you decide if Cern has a role in these developments?
Well, given the earth's core is fluid iron and nickel, the magnetic field resulting is critical to our entire technological society. There is,.of course, evidence that reversal of the earth's north and south magnetic poles does occur more or less every 400,000 years; we ask if such an event is due: the answer is yes, To what extent we may ask are Cern experiments accelerating that process.
In the next few days we look at the evidence in this area.
Next the 9.1 quake: is there any evidence that there has been an increase in earthquakes of higher magnitudes since Cern has been active? That data is available. I will have a look.
We, also want to explore whether the laser and plasma technologies being developed there have any potential to be used as weapons.
We know that the most sophisticated lasers of today can in effect create holographic effects where tempertaures in a tiny beam can create temperatures of thousands if not millions of degrees and the equivalent of tiny black holes.
The Japanese have such prototype equipment currently, Critics say such lasers propelled by magnetics such as those at Cern could propell photons and lead ions at near light speed and create just such effects suitable for military grade use. This, critics argue, is the main obstacle to shutting the experiment down.,
What is the truth here and just for my records, what is the worst case scenario and along what time lines? What is the truth here?

Cern critics made a prediction. Here is a quote made in a related blog on this site:
"We will know this scenario’s end is closer, when we experience magnitude 9 earthquakes that kill hundreds of thousands of human beings."
In looking into this I note that Cern fired up the collider on March 2, 2011 and March 11, the 8.9 earthquake hit Japan. Other data include:

The interesting thing below is that the new run schedule totals only have of the capacity of the accelerators. If that is intensified what we want to know is what will be the effects.
TeV stands for Total Electron Volts.
Those who follow my blog on the Plasma Universe will note that even at CERN there is the recognition that electrons are electric and generate a magnetic field when on the move and therefore it is reasonable to assume that at higher speeds the magnetic fields generated will be more intense, and perhaps dangerous.
The full capacity of the two accelerators is 14 TeV. That is speedy indeed and has never been done before. The acceleration of protons at the site is unprecedented in the history of the world and if a mistake occurs, critics say, could and maybe has, led to earthquates and other disasterous consequences, including the destruction of the earth itself.
My view: some one ought to have a look at the project other than the people involved. That has not been done, to date.

Those seeking reassurance can read the report of the CERN's Safety Assessment Group who write soothingly:
"LHC collisions will differ from cosmic-ray collisions in that any exotic particles created will have lower velocities, but the Safety Assessment Group shows that even fast-moving black holes produced by cosmic rays would have stopped inside the Earth or other astronomical bodies. Their existence proves that any such black holes could not gobble matter at a risky rate."
The problem here is that such a reassurance admits that the Earth core, iron and nickel, the source of our magnetic field, will be affected.
The point is that such black holes contemplated at CERN orginate inside the earth's magnetic field not coming at the earth from the outside; and therefore there is no such shield in place. This is what is new, untested and dangerous.
