A boy appreciates all that he has.

I am not exactly what you would call "rich" or "well-to-do", but compared to a lot of people, I am very blessed.  Very much so.

For example, I have two parents who love and cherish me.  They take very good care of not only yours truly, but also my two younger sisters, one, of whom, happens to have special needs (she is in a wheelchair and cannot walk or talk; she was born with severe brain damage and requires a lot of care).  I have two grandparents who send me stuff every Christmas (and on my birthday), and I make good grades at school (I'm in the eighth grade).

I have many friends who like to hang out with me; I play basketball, football, or baseball with them, and we also like to hang out at the local malt shop on weekends.  We like to go to movies and hang out after church on Sundays if we have nothing planned.

I live in a nice neighborhood here in Seattle, Washington, and have a wonderful church to go to; I go to a Methodist church and enjoy learning about God and singing in the choir every week.

I am blessed to have a good singing voice and have sung several solos during the worship time or during special choir performances (like at Christmas, for example).  I get the voice talent from my mom; Mom also sings in the choir and has won several awards for her musical abilities.

Sometimes life has a way of throwing me a curveball (or an error), but I try to rely on God to help me through (such as when Wren, my disabled sister, gets sick or ends up in the hospital again).  He has gotten me (and my family) through some unbelievable circumstances; I don't know what I would do without Him. I'd probably be a lot worse off than I already am, let me tell you!

Well, I hate to run, but it's gonna be supper soon, then we're going to the movies or maybe bowling (we haven't really decided what we're gonna do yet).  I will write in here again soon; until later, this is Maverick James saying so long!  God bless you always!
