My name is Colusa Maria DelGato.  I am 14 years old.  I live with my family in Marina Del Ray, California.

I have a set of parents who are to die for; I love them that much!  They're the best!  Besides Mami and Papi, I also live with my Abuela and Abuelo (they're Papi's parents), and my three younger sisters, Carmela, Consuela, and Concepcion (they're triplets; they're ten).

Where I live it is warm all year long, though in the winter, it rains, but never gets cold enough for snow.  I have never seen snow excepting in pictures.  That's fine; I hate cold weather.  If it gets below sixty degrees I'm freezing to death!

I'm in the ninth grade at PolyTech; it's a high school for gifted/talented students like myself.  We take college-level courses. I love the challenge of these classes, but during Christmas break (which just ended today; today was the first day back to school), we had a major English report.  I did mine on the Mayans' theory about the end of the world and why it was wrong.  Obviously the world did not end; I would not be here, writing this down!  Yet a lot of people took it seriously.

I don't go to church; we are Wiccan.  We believe more in the natural realm than in God.  We were Catholic, but Mami got dissatisfied with it and we got together with a friend who was Wiccan, so we went that route.  Well, most of us did, anyway.  Papi is still Catholic, as are his parents, but ever since we "converted", Papi's parents don't talk to us much.  That's fine; they have their ways, and we have ours.  Don't like the rigidity that religion brings; we're much freer this way.

On Sundays, I babysit my three younger sisters.  They're not bad, but like all kids, they have their moments where they drive me crazy.  Seems that they're growing up faster than Mami or Papi (or even Abuela and Abuelo) would like.  They're nearly as tall as me and already talking about makeup and boys.  It makes me sad 'cause they're still kids; let them be little for a while longer!

On Saturdays, I hang out with my friends; we go to the beach, to the mall, or to each other's houses.  I love being with my friends 'cause it gets me out of the house or away from my triplet sisters!  I think Saturdays are my favorite day of the week (as are Fridays, especially when that three o'clock bell chimes!).

When I grow up, I want to be a marine biologist and study aquamarine life.  I have always found sea creatures fascinating. 

Well, I have to go; it's about time for me to switch my next class (it's only two thirty seven here in Cali; still in school as I write this).  I will write in here again soon; until later, this is Colusa DelGato saying so long; may life treat you well!
