He was the youngest of two sons; he loved that position.Been the youngest, means that he could do as he please, and get away with it. He got what he wanted, no questions ask. He did'nt even have to to do any work, if he did'nt feel like it. He did'nt think his brother liked him." I wonder why" Maybe because he was selfish, He was always thinking about himself . One day he confronted his father, about a situation that has been on his mind.He has been hearing about a far off country, where things was so much better than what he had here at home.

There were Clubs,Singles bar,and Girls of all different shapes and size and color. It sounds really exiting and inviting.

So he said to his father, Give me of my inheritance the portion that belongs to me. (I've had it in this boring old place; I want to go find myself) "Emphasis added"

So, the loving  Father that he was, he divided up all his position, everything that he owned,and gave his young son his portion," and bless him"

vs.13. { blessings added}   After a few days he packed his bag and headed out,leaving his home and family behind looking for that far country. As soon as he got there, he was surrounded by lots and lots of friends, and began to have a " good time"

 He was having so much fun, eating and drinking, and just having a riotous fun time. But as the saying goes," time sure goes fast when you are having fun" and before he knew what happened he was short  on cash.

To make matters worst, there was a drought going on;along with the drought there was also a famine.Before long

, he was broke, busted and hungry. There was no work to be had anywhere.He felt like a sore looser.He begged a farmer in the area to let him feed his pigs.reluctantly the Farmer said go ahead

He was so hungry the dry pods he was feeding the pigs, looked appetizing to him. No one offed him anything to eat.He sat watching the pigs eat and wondered what it taste like; when suddenly it dawned on him.

Here I am starving to death and even the servants in my fathers house have more than enough bread to eat. So he said to himself,

I will arise and go to my father; so he started rehearsing all that he was going to say. "Father I have sinned against heaven and before you."I Dont want to be your son anymore just make me a hired servant. Not realizing that the status of  son cannot be changed.

Christ call us Sons and Daughters that never change; and even when, like the Prodigal we go astray, we need to come and confess,  he loves us so much he will forgive, and take us back to himself.

 So what far country are you in right now? think about it and as soon as you realize it come on back home. The father is looking for you.Do it now Dont wait any longer. God bless you.
