In the back of our house was a normal yard
where we grew up and run and play, but in
fact not so normal was what was next to our
house as a matter of fact .

In the years I remember next to the house that
I grew up in was a forest or woods that we kids
claim as our own,we ran through it jump climb
the trees which there were plenty of and one in
fact special tree we called Run Rot because it was
a normal tree for all intent and reasoning ,branches
it had,leaves to different small animals that lived in
it,but there was one special attraction of a vine that
seemed to start from the top of the tree to the bottom
but it did not stop there .

The vine cotinued beneath the ground we never knew
how far down, that's why the name Run Rot but to this
day I always remember another part of the tree which
fascinated me even more was the top of the tree,no one
in the years I can recall ever tried to climb the tree maybe
because we were told not too because we were to young.

So naturally when someone is told not to do something you
guess it they do it anyways . I for one never did I like my feet
grounded and so I tried to determine how far underground in
fact Run Rot did go, the next day I had a shovel with me and
 tooI started digging around Run Rot, I'm glad I was still young
and strong being eight I was not going too be deterred from
finding out where Run Rot ended .

Boy was I wrong .I didn't want to die,but who did ,death was to
indeed final,let no one else tell you different .if you have faith in
fact that might be another story entirely then,but I didn't .

Not yet anyways . And faith I'm told just doesn't happen like that
to some who really believe in it it does ,to me my faith took that
one leap that everyone talks about and that it does happen when
you need it the most, and God did I need it right then .
