Sometimes just because you can do something doesn't
necessarily mean you have too ,oh that you should just
because you want to show off in front of your friends or
family as well.It is unwise and sometimes dangerous to .

I continued digging around the vine of the tree or Run Rot
as we kids called it, boy was that vine long and thick the
shovel was a fine tool as a matter of fact but the more that
I dug the more I got frustrated at it, I wished it would end .

I might had been eight and would not give up until I find out
where this vine ended up at,yet I kept at it . I had nothing else
to deter me from anything else either it was Saturday after all
and my time was my own, my parents were very unrestrictive
indeed,up to a point that is, as long as my  schoolwork was in
fact done or my chores around the household completed I can
do what I pleased and the forest was next door so they would
not to have to worry about me going to far .

Run Rot became my goal in my young life everything else was
only secondary as I kept a hour or two open each day so I could
tackle Run Rot . ' I don't give up that easily,' I said . As I dug the
ground around the vine became bigger and  it looked like one of
those sinkholes you see on the tv news and I dropped the shovel .

Even I needed a rest, but unusual happened as I took my break as
I sat on a boulder nearby I saw something very strange come up
from the ground  up on the vine itself, very strange indeed .

I took a deep breath and grabbed my shovel I then could use that too
defend myself from whatever it was coming up .It was unwise I kept
remember myself saying so . The thing I to saw did not surprise me at
all, the vine after all was part of a tree and small animals did live in trees
from time to time what  thought I saw was a chipmunk or squirrel but it
did not  behave like one .

I sat and was ready for anything .

And I had to be because you know the next thing that creature did surprise
me again it had jumped off the vine and started coming toward me . At first
it wasn't hostile at all more like curious, wanting to know what I was . I then
waited there on the boulder as I sat there not wanting to appear hostile or in
fact react to the creature just yet,it was ugly enough I almost felt sorry for it .
Why should I react just because it was different  Just because that to someone

is different doesn't mean  have to treat them different or act hostile toward them .
On the contrary someone different just means treat them to special or treat them
the way they would treat you you never know about a person or animal or whatever
until you get to know them .

to be continued part lll.
