Sign Junior up for the Dallas Cowboys!!

Just became the father to a strapping baby boy weighing well over 9 pounds: 11 pounds and 9 ounces to be exact: perfectly healthy, with ten fingers and ten toes!  He is absolutely beautiful!!

My wife, she did great; she just came out of surgery, and she's now sleeping in bed, like a baby.  She looks great, but a bit pale .... guess surgery takes a lot out of a person ....

Now I have two children: a daughter, aged 4 (her name is Amalia) and Junior (real name's Diego Vincente, but to me he's Junior; he and I have the same name).  I couldn't be more blessed ....

I couldn't believe the size of the little guy when they took him out: he was the biggest baby I had ever seen.  His arms and legs looked like hamhocks and there was nothing wrong with his lungs: he cried loudly, announcing his arrival into the world.  At the sound of our little boy coming into the light, my wife and I both bawled.  It was the best thing that could have ever happened to us!

There ain't nothing little about Junior.  He is pretty big.  Everyone is marveling at how big and healthy he is; Junior Ortiz is suddenly very popular here in the nursery unit.  I can't wait to see him when they bring him in to see us, his familia, for the very first time; I know there will be people fawning all over him!

I don't know what I could have done to possibly deserve such a sweet baby boy, but one thing is certain: he did not take after my side of the family, nor did he take after his Mami's .... he definitely is much bigger than most of the kids in our families when they were born!!  It's gonna be interesting just to see how big he really does get once he starts growing!!
